How's the new Shelter Woods?
Have yet to play on it unfortunately. Idk if they didn't increase the chances of it getting picked or it's because of the new system where maps don't repeat for any player.
I do love this system but I think maybe it could be disabled or reduced for new/overhauled maps. I've played about 40 games and got Temple of Purgation once, no Mother's Dwelling or Shelter Woods :(

First impressions are good. But i only played it from the survivor side, still haven't gotten it from killer.
I like the new main building, makes the map have some substance and a bit more safety for survivor, the new main helps alleviate the dead zone problem the map had.
I think the map looks pretty promising.
Mother's Dwelling and Temple look really beautiful and immersive, the lighting and vegetation. Thumbs up for the art team

Thank you for the detailed response! It looked really neat on the PTB (I'm on console) so can't wait to play it. And yes, Temple looked beautiful. They did a great job.
Really looking forward to the reworked swamp maps. I hope they are able to give them personality, they are such boring looking maps currently

Pls, i don't like the swamp maps at all, for survivor or killer. Really hope they can make them more enjoyable.
I think they will do it, from the last year, there was no reworked map that i preferred the old one to the new.

I like it much more than the old one for both sides. (Primarily blight on killer side)

I've only played it on survivor, but it's much better than before and I'm glad it was changed. The main building is neat, though the art style feels distinctly different from anything else we have in DBD. I adore the mannequins, they're great for cheeky plays.
I'm a little less keen on Red Forest. It looks amazing, and I appreciate how it's darker on top of getting a massive glow-up, but the new hitboxes on the bushes are driving me insane.

Looks very beautiful. Same for new Red Forest.

I enjoy the fact that there is a better distribution of cover and pallets than before. Seems fair on both sides from what I have experienced.

I kind of like it, I only played it while playing bots. I also really like the Red Forrest updates too. So yes I will agree that all of the updated maps are done visually really well. Still need to practice more on them but I’m sure I will get the hang of them.

The three updated maps (Shelter Woods + both Red Forest maps) are supposed to be weighted, and because of that the new map no-repeat system hasn't rolled out yet. However, the updated maps certainly don't feel weighted. I've barely seen Shelter Woods and Mother's Dwelling, and I don't think I've been on Temple of Purgation at all.
The camp on Shelter Woods is kind of interesting visually. The layout itself leaves something to be desired, because each time I've been on Shelter Woods at least one survivor wastes most of the match camping the god window being completely useless. The updated Red Forest is full of clutter and a pain to navigate, with plenty of spots that look open enough to pass through but aren't, completely boning maneuverability.

It's actually horrendous. In case you are playing an M1 killer with no real antiloop like Wraith or Legion you are stuck with bloodlust 3 M1s. Half a dozen safe pallets and windows to chain together and waste your time. I'd rather play around Garden of Pain main building.

I really like the new Shelter Woods. The new main building is cool (although it can be a little off-putting because it's drastically different from what we usually see in DBD).

Main building has three strong windows, one weak window, and one or two weak pallets. About par for the course in terms of main buildings.
Everything else about the map is unchanged as far as I'm aware.

It's a little too different, in my opinion. At least, the living quarters upstairs are jarringly and awkwardly clean and ritzy and brightly-lit. It's weird in a way I don't like, I think they could at least dim the lights down to something a little more moody.

The spotlight shining on the mannequins is horrible. I can't turn my camera in its direction or it causes my eyes actual physical pain. So many of the maps are too dark, so having a horribly glaring light like that is really bad.

Yeah they could make the upstairs area a little more scary looking or at least lived in. And dim down the spotlight on the mannequins or even change the color of it (Like how there's purple lighting in the engineering room).
