The Amanda's Letter add-on for The Pig has been Kill Switched due to an issue with incorrect RBT count.

I am starting to use BNPs to deal with the Skull Merchant
Since its release, the killer has already made clear its role in this game: holding a 3gen with all her capabilities from the start of the game, defending it by continuously positioning and activating drones, refusing to kill survivors but simply chasing them away from the area to the point of exhausting them and damaging the generators with CoB/Oc. There is not a single Skull Merchant I have encountered who decides to play this way. I don't deny that it would also be a viable alternative to the classic gameplay, but since the games seem to take forever with no way out, countermeasures must be taken. Since not even a well-coordinated swf (such as that of otz and his team) can succeed in disrupting this strategy, the only way is to carry a large toolbox and combine it with a BnP, as well as equip PT.
The tooblox should only be used to repair the last generator while another survivor attempts to distract the killer in some way.
In these early days I have seen an increase in the number of survivors deciding to carry a TB, probably for this very reason. I think the devs are quietly encouraging its use at this point.
I don't think I've ever equipped a BnP since I bought the game, but if that's what the devs want, they should be accommodated, since there doesn't seem to be an alternative.

The next Trapper, Myers or Clown you go against will thank you greatly.

Youโre getting Skully matches? Faced her twice since release.

Potential Energy, Prove Thyself

Wait.
How can you tell which killer you're going to face before the match even starts?? ๐
If very few are playing her (they find her weak, boring, or both), then odds are you're just using BNP's against other killers.
But I feel ya. I wish I had enough flashlights to bring one into every match in case it's Hag... Why does she get to trap the hooks, but not Skull Merchant, or Twins, or Executioner, or Trapper, or Demogorgon, or Dredge (to a degree)?

Skull Merchant won't care at all. You either waste it on the other gens that she doesn't Guard or you will try to use it on one of her gens that she camps and she will just come back before you fully use your toolbox and kick it with 4 slowdowns anyway and push you away / down you.
Only thing you do is "hurting" other killers lol.

Lucky you. I'm seeing her about once every three survivor matches. Which is low for a killer that was just released, but still way too often given how she plays. I've faced two of them that didn't hard gen camp and they both did really badly. The rest? Utterly miserable games.
That said, bringing BNPs isn't a solution because it punishes every killer who isn't humping gens, which just pushes more people to go "screw it, I'm bringing Overcharge/CoB/Face the Darkness to deal with this crap." Though I totally understand feeling driven to it. Was actually contemplating suiciding on hook today, and I never do that. Lucky me the SM decided to tunnel me out anyway.

hopefully she get huge nerf to her ability to 3gen and some anit loop to replace it

One way to know what killer you're going to get, and this doesn't work all the time, but if you read the tips on the loading screen, you'll sometimes see a tip about facing a killer; if you see a tip about a specific killer, then you'll be facing that killer in the game.

IIRC, that only happens if you've faced that killer less than two times. It's meant for newbies.

haha i did the same during the eruption meta. I have used less than 5 BNP in my entire 1k hours in dbd but oh man did i start digging into my stash to deal with minute 1 3 gen campers

(That only happens the first few times you face a killer you've never/barely gone against.)
Are you saying that the OP saw the load screen tooltip, went back into the lobby, changed their loadout to equip the BNP, and then went back into the load screen?

No, I'm equipping the BNP regardless of the killer precisely to prepare for the eventuality of a skull merchant.

IT IS A GOOD IDEA TO PACK YOUR BNP IN CASE YOU ENCOUNTER 1 OUT OF THE 31 KILLERS.
In all seriousness though...
I'm encouraged, I might buy her to play with if people will engage and try to counter her instead of organizing a mob to torture the developers until they repent and nerf her.
