Does anyone actually use Map's addon Glass Bead?

Just this. I find it interesting to see an addon that lets you put a light marker in dbd, but i cant find a reason to use it at all.

If you are playing solo, your teammates will mostly ignore the mark or dont understand what you are marking.

If you are playing SWF you dont really need to mark something you can already call out in voice comm.

I used to take glass bead before the hatch nerf, where you could spot the closed hatch and mark it for someone carrying a key to open it but now?

My question is there is really a situation where you can use this addon and get some benefit out of it?

    When we get competent teammates when we use it (usually through ace's plunder build) we usually do get minor use of of it, along the lines of a certain fairy's "HEY, look at this!". Wouldn't really recommend actually bringing it though less you got no better add ons.

    I use it to pin Dull totem for teammate to cleanse while I go for another Dull, before the perks update, to prevent Noed.

    Or I constantly pin the light to let teammate know where I am in chase.

    Or to pin Gen Im working on.

    I use it for the memes. It’s funny to spam it as I run across the map.

    I don't use it regularly but on open maps it's good to mark gens you're working on. Or maybe you could do an altruist play, use plunderers instinct and mark rare stuff in chests.

    People see the light go up and don't really know what to think. You can't even use it to convey information most of the time. If the light had some clear meaning than maybe it might get use more. Like the light mean the killer is in this area right now or something. Another problem is the light marker won't distinguish until u make a new one which only add to the confusion. Sometimes u won't the light gone but now u gotta make another marker when u really don't won't to.

    I likewise use to use itvto highlight the hatch when it still spawned mid game.

    If I were to use it now (& haven’t in years) I guess it's best use would be to highlight a gen (thats part of a 3 gen) before everyone puts you in that situation.

    Maybe once all gens are done & the gate is 99'd or even open drop it there to let any teammate know where to head, especially in a chase as not everyone is paying attention when the notification pops up showing where they are.

    I don't really take items in these days but if I did take a map it would be the add on that shows all survivors what you see & something to make map last longer.
