Did gen speeds get shadow buffed?
Gens have been flying more then usually lately even with gen defence builds and good chases I've been having matches were I figured they must of had a few gen speed perks and there wasn't anything?

Dude, we are sick of skull merchant and 3 gens. We load up not knowing what we are going into.
I went from a fun chase build to an exclusive gen-rush build.

But there isn't any gen perks or toolboxes. It's not like I'm having bad games.

(Sarcasm) They were both shadow-buffed and shadow-nerfed.
The gens take less charges to repair if you're playing killer, and they take more charges to repair if you're playing survivor solo.

I've stopped playing her because if you don't 3 gen you pretty much lose. Even playing chase builds or gen defence but not going for a 3 gen right away I end up having to go into a 3 gen to win around 1-2 gens or I'll end the game with 2-3 hooks. Atm she has pretty much nothing but hold 3-4 gens and then see which side is more stubborn.
I honestly can't stand 3 gening and end up just giving up and letting the survivors finish because I'm bored.

I think the reason is that survivors have been using the "solo gen" strat a lot more often. I use it in survivor games even without a gen rush build. Basically for those who don't know, if survivors work on a gens individually meaning 4 survivors each work on one gen by themselves at the same time gens will fly. By the time the killer finds, downs and hooks 1 survivor 2-3 gens should be done or really close to done.
It's really annoying to deal with as killer and very boring as survivor. They need to give survivors something else to do.
I know deadlock and corrupt exist but there are times where these perks do basically nothing.
Something has to change soon cause survivor is boring af at the moment and killer is really stressful.

If it helps I've had some luck with a totem defense build w/ Thrill of the Hunt that the coming changes to SM will synergize well with (Thrill, Devour, Iron Grasp [to hook away from drones), Flex Perk [been using Deadlock but might try Face the Darkness next time]).
It's similar to Demo's Devour build, Pop a drone to guard totems. It goes down, book it to the totem to interrupt the cleanse, counting on Thrill to buy you the time to get there.
Being honest stuff like this is exactly why Deadlock is my crutch perk of choice.

honestly i think it's not survivor gen speed perks that are causing gens to seemingly go faster, it's a combo of the following:
-BP costs reduced, so people have more toolboxes and addons
-Passive slowdown perks got nerfed, so killer players need to actively involve themselves in doing slowdown to get it
-Killer in general got buffed (and survivor got nerfed), so survivor players who would often waste time on side objectives have gotten more focused on hitting gens (otherwise sacrifice feels basically guaranteed)

nah but people come into the game ready to gens because killer meta is so slowdown heavy atm

killer meta has always been slow down even when there wasn't much gen defence it was ruin, pop, enduring, and sloppy to slow the game down just a little bit
