I am forced to buy on the epic to not have the worries of DDOS?...

Technically, I have a good connexion, not the best, but not the worst

But Latelly, I got a lot of problem only when I play DBD...

When I play Killer, sometimes, after chasing a survivor, sometimes got me kick of the game, and also when I play survivor, when I was teleported back at the killer when I got chassed...

I see a lot of people saying that, if you don't want these problem, play on epic, but, I don't want to buy, AGAIN , the game just for playing normally, so, somebody have some solution?...

You are not really safer on Epic than on Steam as far as I know, the IP leaking seems to affect all platforms (assumed, not confirmed). There are even people not sure if it’s entirely a DbD issue or if there is some general issue going on?

also, you aren’t really describing a DDoS attack, you wouldn’t only have short time problems in-game..

and best/only way to be safe is to use a VPN

Yeah, I should have specified that sometimes, during the game, my ping explodes and goes from 23 ms to 400 or even 500 x) and this, during certain games, or even all along several games, it's only very recent this kind of problem, not to mention that it starts especially when I chase or the killer chases me

I wanted to test, therefore, if on other games, I had the same joke online, at the times I usually play, and this was not the case... As soon as I launch DBD, it starts again

This still doesn’t relate to a DDoS attack as far as I can tell or your IP leaking, but more like a general DbD and/or server issue

I see.. So, at this moment, when we got that, it's on the server statut from DBD? (Amazon Server for being exact)

    Could be.

i guess it could be DDoS attacks as well - but it’s very unlikely you always get attacked like that if there is not a person or groups of people attacking you, getting in your lobbies for that, monitoring when you play etc? (That’s why streamers are more likely to suffer from this)

if you really think you are being attacked, then I guess you should test out a VPN - there are probably free trials on some - and see if the issue really stops

Unfortunately, I don't know the technical details of the security leak, only that it is something to do with Steam. Theoretically speaking, it might be possible for you to join a lobby where another player is on Steam and then have your IP address leaked that way. The safest setup would be epic only players in a lobby.

Been using a VPN since the Artist came out and the six occasions on which the servers went down mid-match were all during the time I was playing a killer and winning, never during survivor which I play somewhat more, so...

So far i havent had any issues on steam, but yeah big content creators do have some DDOS issues.

I've heard people get ddossed even while being small streamers and people in streamers lobbies get ddosed, but so far it hasnt happened to me ( knocks on wood )

I used to have that ping spike issue on old RPD, it got fixed when they split the ma in half.
