I mean the DBD community is quite selfish, it's about people and their side, never about the other, they lack empathy for the other side. I normally hate splitting people into "sides" but this Dev Update is so polarizing for the community, it's like P6.1.0 all over again.
All I care about is the Doom Engravings and Death Engravings nerf, I could care less about the healing/perk nerfs since they barely impact me (I bring in Botany or Autodidact almost every match of Survivor, and the only slowdown I use is Pop Goes as Killer).

Its always nice to find people who don't stick to just the killer side or survivor side. I ain't complaining tell I see it with my own eyes. Idk about much besides the hillbilly add on nerfs and them sidelineing old tome characters in favor to new ones and licensed ones. Other than that I think this patch is gonna be a pretty good one. Also somwtimes patches this big also give an older killer who doesn't have their own chase music so I wonder if Wraith, Hunteress, Plauge, Bubba, or Pig is going to get new music this patch.

I would like to actually look at the balance changes and discuss them rationally (I think they're mostly good with a few issues, notably compound effect of healing nerfs)
But getting through the noise of tantrums seems futile.

It's funny how people can't see that, not every player is a pro player with 10k hours, i'm preety good at both sides but i don't expect to every player to be like me, beginners will get stomped by this patch since they NEED TO HEAL to feel safe, now imagine taking years to heal and after all that effort the killer comes and just hit u and the cycle starts again.
What's gonna happene? Beginners will waste to much time healing and neverr getting a chance to really do the objective, they will start to loose even more and will get tired of that, some will just give up of the game and some of them will understand that healing ins't worth anymore and will gen rush and bring lot of stuff to do gen as fast as possible.
People always complaing about gen rush, this meta encourage gen rush even more... i don't like to just sit on gens and them leave, i like to literraly do which is best at the moment, time to save players? ok, time to get chased to buy time for my teamates? sure! but if the new meta will be just, oh just bring resilience and sit on gens while injured all the time cus takes like half of a whole gen just to heal one health state, i'm not playing this anymore.
The new meta will be only anti healing builds and survivors running gen rush perks and we will be back to 2018 where gen rush was a thing...

Its been like this for awhile now. Everyone wants to be the victim while also being biased & not caring so. This patch didn't show anything new. It just caused more chaos.

The hysteria is hilarious. Everyone is shrieking and sobbing and begging to keep their meta perks and they're using every dirty argument they can to justify it. I just hope the devs are wise enough to ignore the drama queens here and on Twitter. No one should ever listen to Twitter complaints anyway.

Normally, I would be all out cheering and eating popcorn, but yet another bunch of nerfs to SoloQ after the escape rate dropped below 20% just reminds me how much more miserable this game is going to be in the future, so I can't quite enjoy the drama.

I'm only annoyed at Billy's nerf and the slap in face addon buffs they did while actively not buffing Pig

Yeah I wish her ambush had shorter wind-up, that's what makes it hard to use. I'll take longer cooldown on misses in exchange, because usually I have no reason to not simply uncrouch and hit the survivor normally -- hell, it's superior to do that if I'm running Sloppy Butcher or other perks that rely on basic attacks.

This is actually unironically my favourite killer change. I play a fair amount of Pig and I use this add on for stealth ambushes.
