Quick question
So i noticed that when a survivor dc on purpose the disconnect symbol has blood on it while if it was an accident it just shows an x. So if they can tell that why hasnt a harsher punishment for d/c not been implemented. The whole arguement that it would hurt people with bad connection is no longer valid as they can obviously tell how the disconnect happened and show a different graphic. Since D/C is probably the worst part of the solo experience now. it should be an easy 1 hr ban for first time.

I don't think this is the case. I've had people who almost certainly DCed on purpose have their symbol show up as either.

This isn't true. The blood around the DC symbol is likely an artefact of them being injured/downed/hooked at the time they DCed.
Of course, survivors who intentionally DC are more than likely to be either injured/downed/hooked at the time they ragequit.
And even if they could display whether a survivor intentionally hit the "Leave Game" button or simply lost connection, treating them differently wouldn't make any difference, as players who wanted to DC without penalty could simply unplug their router to disconnect their connection and restart the game.

No, just because someone DCs on purpose doesn't necessarily mean they are doing so because they don't want to play that game. Sometimes, a user's connection will just be crappy and have a lot of latency; in those cases, it makes sense to just DC and waits for the connection to get better. It would make no sense for someone who can't enjoy the game due to their connection to stay in the game so the killer is happier.
