What happened to the mori rework, that last standing feature?
I remember a long time ago the was some testing regarding a new mechanic were the survivor would be teleported to a location in the map and the mori animation would start. There was something like it would activate if all survivors are downed.
Was that oficially scrappred? I thought it was good at that time.

It was horrible. It made Killers want to slug more to down quickly the final Survivor so they can 4K without hooking everyone. It also made Unbrekable the most broken perk in the game, since the killer HAD to pick you up otherwise you would just be up on yourself within few seconds (this would kill Twins btw). Forced Mori also many people didn't like since sometimes you want to give hatch to Survivor or to go find Glyph or hatch for a challenge or something.
I hope this will never come again, at least not even slightly close to what it was on the PTB.

I think it's officially scrapped. Sad, if I don't search on YouTube, I never see the mori of a killer

They stated even before the PTB went live that it’s a very early concept that will undergo further changes and won’t get added like that to live. They just wanted early feedback to get a direction for it. It’s probably still something they are working on, but it will get another PTB with heavy changes before it gets finalized.

i like the idea, but realization sucks. Just down 4 survivors to win a game? dumb. But if they manage to rework it into something balanced, that'd be cool. Mori should be implemented into basekit somehow, considering how unique it is.

Hopefully it gets scrapped and disappears like that auto-banning feature the devs brought up once upon a time.

The finisher mori should just work like the Cypress Momento Mori where if there is one survivor remaining, and you downed them while they were the last one remaining, then the finisher mori will play. Otherwise, it doesn't happen.
Although, it would then just be a lot simpler to make the Cypress Momento Mori itself basekit and not have the killer and survivor teleport to somewhere on the map when the conditions are met. After all, some killers like to let their last survivor escape through the hatch.

what does making cypress mori basekit achieve?
a hook is usually faster cuz a lot of mories are too long and might honethsly get too repetitive with time so i don't what's the purpose of doing that, at least the finisher mori had the purpose of ending the game early.
only thing i liked from that ptb was that mori offerings gave you bp based on how many kills you got it'd have been nice if this went through it might have incentivized using mories more.

I hope that if they make the "Finisher mori" go live they do it with a sense, since in ptb it was the ######### of the #########. I hope first in a balance of the game anyway instead of this bullshit here. These devs didn't understand that this game must be balanced and inserting this crap does nothing but annoy the players (or rather, annoys those who understand something about the game and play at high levels)
