What Are Niche Perks That You Like?
Perks... We All Got Some... Or At Least I Would Hope So...
DBD has a hundreds of perks, and while there are definitely perks that are going to be in the meta, Id like to see what are some "niche" or "underrated" perks the community likes to use from time to time.
For me, Id have to say (for Killer) it would be Mad Grit, Forced Penance, and/or Dark Devotion; and (for Survivor) Self Preservation, Hope, and For The People.
(Also yes I did use the image you see on Developer Updates for this... what can I say, it fits extremely well for the topic, and it fits across the text-box perfectly. I hope BHVR does not mind me using it.)

I really like Insidious. Just setting up at a certain spot knowing survivors will walk into you, or using it at certain high loops to confuse survivors has been pretty entertaining for me. Could use a buff though to make it more effective at loops, such as having a lingering effect for a few seconds after moving when it has been activated.

Surveillance is really good, I use it a lot, I feel like most people never used it past Patch 6.1.0 since, ya know, Call of Brine was just a better version of it.

I really like using Autodidact. It’s an underrated perk and does have potential for big plays. That being said it’s a risky perk to use.

Well... it's really good with Oppression

vigil.
32 sec sprint burst cd is nasty if the killer drops chase the second they see you run away

I really love using Trail of Torment! I get quite a bit of value from it.

Trail of Torment + Dragon's Grip is a combo I use to run a lot.
Youd just hit the Generator and pretend to leave, but really just sit by the Generator. Someone would come and tap it because it's aura is being revealed. Basically a free down. Funny as hell.

I like to play with urban evasion and pharmacy. I just like to sometimes crouch real fast and try to get a med kit from any chest I encounter.

Aftercare I think is very underrated. Bond is a good perk of course but it has a limited range and it’s only visible to you. I love using Aftercare cause not only can you see your team at all times because there’s no limit in range but they can see you! It’s super handy when trying to find a gen or seeing where someone is being chased etc.

Mad Grit !
Third Seal is a guilty pleasure of mine too.
I like Spies From The Shadows as well =D

Play with your food is very underrated for m1 killers. Even 1 token makes a huge difference in how you chase
Coup de grace while i wouldn't call it good is very fun. Hitting one of those extended lunges just feels so good

I wonder how "niche" shadowborne actually is. It probably has a surprisingly high play rate overall.

I'm having great fun with Forced Penance lately.

Fast Track. Hitting a great skill check and seeing the gen progress jump up is always satisfying, especially in close games where the extra progress comes in clutch.

Blood Favour.
I wouldn't call it one of the better Hexes, but I really like it. I slap that perk on Clown pretty frequently, you'd be surprised how often it gives noticeable value.

I really love Grim Embrace. It's not the strongest perk and has a weak effect compared to its activation conditions but global generator block + aura reveal of the obsession is kinda nice.
For survivors I really like Resilence. It usually helps against a lot of killers and the small vault speed increase is kinda nice too (and against certain killers like Plague or Legion, it's a (small) game changer).

for me i like hope (i use it in pretty much every build) and i've been running a lot of aftercare recently for an aura reading perk (i got bored of an only self centered build) and it's honestly been pretty nice for my solo queue games, and it's less terrifying than bond because i can opt into getting the aura reading instead of seeing meg in the basement looting the chest unprompted

Blood Warden
Been my favorite perk for years now :)

I love Pharmacy but it's about to get a huge indirect nerf :(

Boon: Dark Theory is a perk I actually quite enjoy running. I know the effects are minimal, but I really like the perk as a concept so I run it anyways.
