Plus, it might encourage people to play SM.

I don't play any of these characters so its a pass for me. Only one i might ever use is Mikaelas and its a recolor. Not too bad recolor though.
Hope this wont make more SMs appear...i really cant stand them 😖

I'm surprised they have the audacity to dedicate the next tome to the colossal failure which was the Skull Merchant. The tome skin doesn't even look that good, at least her store skin (the one with cat ears) looks decent but I have no intention of spending auric cells. Looks like I'll have to wait a year until it actually gets sold for shards.
I see very little reason to play the game if these are the tome rewards. Now slap the upcoming killer nerfs on top of that and you're guaranteed to have a miserable time as a killer, especially as the severely underpowered mess which is the Skull Merchant.

I’m always surprised the rifts have so few cosmetics. This is such a good opportunity to get people to pour money into the game, but it involves such a small percent of the killers and survivors, that it often has zero things for the characters I play.
And sometimes it does involve the characters I play, but the cosmetics are awful (like medieval huntress) or they are so holiday themed that I might wear them once a year (like bright green St Patrick cosmetics).

Yeah, the last Rift being a bunch of holiday-themed stuff was a letdown, I feel like a doofus if I'm using Valentine's outfits outside of February. As far as this new Rift goes, I don't own Tools of Torment and I don't really plan to, and on top of that I don't find the premium track cosmetics that good at all. I might just stick to the free track this time.

Ugh.
The Trapper outfit is half decent, but not rift worthy. Everything else is meh. They could've left the Skull Merchant buried where it belongs and put the time into making gear for a killer that's actually played and could use something new.
This falls into the "WHY GOD WHY" category. Just no.

makes you wonder where all the people are that called out LGBTQ+ representation as something the devs were forced to do and they are opposed to it for that reason while the devs directly stated they don’t see Felix going shirtless as character-fitting though we pretty much got multiple revealing Felix outfits..

Upcoming Skull Merchant Rift skin... I don't like that one.
The Store skin however doesn't look bad. I wonder if the weapon has different animation, that would be cool.
Cool that Ash is getting some love after such a long time of nothingness.

The least they could do is buff her into a viable state before dropping a tome for her, she's still very much D tier and anything but good.

you are looking at it from a very narrow perspective. And they did make significant and healthy changes for her already (I agree it’s not really enough but people just disregard any cases outside their own experience even though those others make up the majority of the playerbase)

A mere 3% haste bonus isn't enough to make her viable, the least they can do is raise the haste-bonus for the first clawtrap to 5%. She still struggles massively with getting takedowns since survivors will blatantly ignore the exposed status if they're already injured. And usually they simply run off to the next loop once they dropped a pallet if they're the one wearing a clawtrap. The godawful map design in this game is truly her greatest bane.

If you think the game is in such a poor state now, you're never going to be satisfied. More issues have been fixed now than at any time in the game's lifespan. I expect your 'poor state' has something to do with the game being too killer/survivor sided, or because of matchmaking, which has never been good.

Haddie skin looks great! I like merchant’s rift skin but the store one looks pretty bad

Fair, though she did get one last tome. A quite nice one, I think. I don't play her myself, but I like collecting new skins for everyone, give me more choices when I need a break from my main (Claire) or when I have a daily ritual. :)
