Is this a bannable offense?

Sometimes, I like to fool around as The Clown and just throw bottles at any survivors I see. Then, they start fooling around as well. Basically, is choosing not kill bannable?

I just cheked this link below and I'm not quite sure if it falls under any of that.

Not killing survivors is NOT bannable, so don’t worry, just have fun!

I don't see why it would be reportable although you make the game pretty boring doing this. Admittedly I've done something similar by seeing how long I can drag out a game as Doctor by shocking survivors without killing them. Needless to say it doesn't last very long and since it's boring I haven't done it past the only two games I've done this. Although the second game was just to grind all my shocks so I don't have to play Doctor again outside of stealth doc.

Disclaimer - Not a mod take my opinion with a grain of salt.

What is ban-able is game disruption or the use of exploits. For example, body blocking a survivor where they can't move or do any thing so the game can't end is bad or survivors who simply hide and refuse to leave longggg after the exit gates are open (less their looking for hatch ect). How you play, including gen rushing, tunneling, camping, face camping or the like may be frowned on by some, but also totally not bannable or against the rules.

is it a ban reason to dc as a killer? im bored of the looping on high ranks so i dc after game starts to derank.
yeah it sucks for the survivors who used offerings, but its the fastest way to get to the midranks where the game is actually fun to play

Yes, if you DC too much, you will be automatically banned from the game. However, the percentage is unknown and seems fairly high.

okay, is there another descent way to derank without wasting a whole evening being afk or playing bad?

as long as high rank survivor play is all about looping and not juke&hide its boring as hell.so iwhy should i waste my time with something that i dont like. if i want to brainless circle around i play super marion kart ;)

Learn to play nurse, pig or huntress if you don't like loops. easily top three anti-loops in the game, nurse with her blink, huntress with good predictions and pigs ambush all help against loops.

i would inlclude the spirit, and yes u r right. there are killers who can counter looping. but it shows the problem that there are only 4 out of 14 viable killers on highrank. and i like to play other killers too.

Argueably I would say that many other killers are viable at high ranks, providing the right playstyle is choosen, take for example Legion, and Doctor; while they are more build dependant they are still viable.
Either you can deal with the loops through perks and mindgames, or just brute force your way through pallets.

    Why not try survivor then?

i play more survivor than killer (currently rank 1). but i like to play both sides and have fun with it

Chases are more fun when you play survivor. For killer it can be frustrating because you don't have time for anything.

    No, thats totally fine.

Basically the equivalent to "not doing gens and just looping"

  • Eveline

Not really because when one survivor is looping other 3 can do gens. As a killer you have to do everything at once which is of course impossible.

So just to be clear it won't count as "farming" if the survivors decide to fool around with me? The other match I was the hag and doing nothing but laying down traps by the open gates with the other survivors playing along. They could have escaped any time they wanted to.

Farming isn't bannable as long as you're not forcing anyone to do so.

an example would be continuously chasing someone, picking them up and dropping them constantly so you can re-chase or trying to force them to do gens etc.

Not killing someone isn't bannable. If you force someone to farm when they don't want to, it is, but throwing gas bottles at them isn't forcing them to do anything.

Honest question how do you force someone to farm? Or would this fall in line with just holding the game hostage?

I like those rare games where the killer just messes about with you. It's a nice change.

Hook farming them against their will if one way to force someone to farm.

Also, other Survivors can pretty much force someone to farm by bodyblocking them for the Killer and farming from them.

That being said, being forced to farm doesn’t necessarily mean you’re forced to get points - it can also mean they’re using you against your will to farm points.
