Why is Skull Merchant getting a tome?
This means we will see her much more in the games.. Safe to say to take a break when this tome hits live cuz it’s gonna be such a snoozefest. She is more annoying then Knight, BHVR really made 2 god awful chapters back to back with annoying Killers who nobody wants to play against.

It was to be expected. It's an awful character, but I'd be surprised if devs just scrapped all the content they had probably ready in advance.
Let's just hope they will focus on horror themes in the future and we won't get more Mortal Kombat cosplayers as killers.

Yes guys, why is the new Killer and Survivors getting a new tome just like every other new Killer and Survivors for the past year or so getting a new Tome? How dare the developers not break the current trend of giving these new characters lore and challenges! I am never playing this game ever again! FIX YOUR GAME BHVR! /j

Tbf it's only been Knight before now. Before Knight it was GF and Mikaela, and before that it was Blight and David, and Saw was before that (all 2022). So if people missed the part of the update where every new chapter gets their immediate subsequent Tome then of course they'll be confused.

I can't tell if it's a smart business decision or not. A lot of people probably don't own Tools of Torment yet, especially with its poor reception. Is the Tome supposed to encourage people to buy the DLC for the Rift Challenges and cosmetics? Pay money for the privilege of paying more money?

Probably going to be the worst tome so far, imo. I find her lore... cringe? I can't even find the right word.
It feels like they took it off of Wattpad, or a 14 yr old's fanfic.

Because the devs told us that original killers will always get a tome after their release now. Knight got one after it's released and now SM. Also just because you and others don't like SM isn't going to stop the devs from supporting her with tomes and outfits. So either learn to deal with the 1 out of 31 killers that ticks you off or stop playing the game. I highly doubt you see that many of SMs.

If they have a licensed chapter, then it’s super unlikely the licensed chapter would have an immediate Tome. That’s where the original character catch up would occur.
Not just a year ago, three of four chapters were licensed.
Its just extra incentive on new characters and seeing these last two, I’m stoked about it. The Knight cosmetics were awesome. Thalita looks really good in this new one. Want to see the Deep Rift alternates next week.

Indeed. I don't own the DLC and don't plan on getting it, so a chunk of page one of the new tome I'm not able to complete. No idea of what the next pages will look like, but I expect the same. Which I suppose doesn't really matter in the long run, since the majority of the rewards are meh.
It's probably why they set the April 26 Prime Gaming reward to be a free unlock of the Premium Track for the tome. With not having to spend cells to unlock it, and gaining the cells from the tome, they're technically paying you to do the tome. That's when you know it's terrible.
