Did anyone know of this interaction with blocked gens and pain res?
So me and @imakepeoplehateme had a argument about how pain res works with gens blocked by deadlock. I assumed it worked like jolt did and still damaged the gen.
Tested it out today and it turns out that instead of damaging the gen blocked by deadlock it damaged the most progressed gen after that.
It kinda blew my mind. Don't know if this is intended or a bug but it was not something i was expecting

Yeah. I never run Deadlock and Pain Res together specifically to avoid this.

Yeah, this was kinda a big thing back when they standardised and clarified the difference between damaging a generator and a generator beginning regressing. The interaction was bugged for a while, and blocked generators would still regress, however they really aren't supposed to. The progress is meant to be frozen at whatever it was when the generator was blocked, and not regress further until after it has been unblocked.

it's still a useable combination because in tight matches you will have multiple gens being worked on

Say it together everyone
Gens that are blocked do not lose progress but can still be set to regress when unblocked
...Not catchy enough but I'll work on it

But jolt does lower the progress of a blocked generator

I remember seeing an Otz video or compilation (I think) where he Pain Res'd a gen with little or no progress and then another gen popped not long after since it was deadlocked.
He was heartbroken.

If it does, it's a bug
The devs have said on multiple seperate occasions that if a generator is blocked, it does not lose progress.

I always thought Jolt was the feature.
How does it work with eruption?

Same goes to the repressed alliance?

i would guess so. I don't think it matters how a gen got blocked

I know how it should work according to some past statements: when a generator is blocked (DMS, Deadlock, Thrilling etc) it stops regressing and cannot be damaged further. If it was regressing before the block, it will go on regressing after the timer is over.
How it actually works: ?_? inconsistent ?_? did they fix the bug where it kept regressing even if blocked? It wasn't fixed up to last patch. This surge thing is new to me, it shouldn't be applied to a blocked gen, eruption shouldn't either but it wouldn't surprise me if it didn't work, afterall the devs are so good at coding this game
