Dead Hard nerf

Why didn't they just keep it the same and make it so you can't activate dead hard within 2 meters of a pallet? Am I the only person who plays killer who doesn't mind dead hard unless it's used in this very annoying uncounterable situation. When it's timed right which isn't that difficult there is no counter to that.

    I would make dead hard being activated automatically upon hit if its ready.

    Button activation have some rights like requiring skill. But skill can be mitigated by ping... And even if You use it correctly game will tell You "nope".

    Also, button activation requires killer to wait it out, while automatical activation would make it anti-tunnel second chance perk. It should only have a window to use it, like time or action gated. Also, could activate also as unhooker.

    You really want to make auto-DH basekit?

    Sry but no. I like a good way to distinguish cheaters from normal people.

    Im fine with 0,7s if survivors get limitation not to be able to drop pallet or vault window for few secs after activating dh.

    DH didn't work very often anyway, killers who gave a high ping almost never activated DH properly, in contrast to people like me who have good internet and bhvr dosent want to fix it with server sided dedicated (like the old DH), I had to eat all the DHs, no thanks! Thanks for deleting that damn shi.. perk

    This is main reason why i think its should activate automatically and function just like second chance perk

    I know many won't like that, but making it the old DH would be perfect against tunneling killers + the dedicated servers would be on the old DH, but you should also add everything that disables DS to DH so that it's really an anti tunnel perks

    DH is not dead, not annoying, its punished tunneling killer, you can still use activated after the killer hit your OFR + BT

    I would make it automatic but used up to 2 times a trial 1 after unhooking someone else, and 1 after being unhooked or unhooking someone else. Performing conspicious action deactivates dh.

    I would deal with this as killer

    I personally hate range limits deactivating stuff. Things like Artist not being able to put crows nearby hooks to immediately scout after a hook helps add towards my frustration of playing her. So I don't see this as being a good change.

    Dead Hard got a limit and for a perk that is an on demand health state, it needed one.

    I don't think I can discuss this here properly without violating the rules, but let's just say you can swing next to them but not at them. A normal person would not DH....

    idk, if panicked, people are doing weird thing. Beside. If You suggest that hacks use deadhard automatically, then swinging next to a person should not activate hack.

    I really cannot imagine how can You tell who is hacker and who is not based on dead hard perk.

    Like I said. I am not sure I can tell you how it works. I know Otzdarva made a video on this. So maybe check him out.

    I can tell you that what they use is not perfect and you can trick it by doing what I mentioned. They can't control it.

    I will look at it, yet still. Swinging a weapon somewhere near survivor may make them hit the button in panic, its not any kind of proof its hack.

    But even so. Just becuase those people use hacks for dead hard does not means they use hacks for anything else. Im not defending hackers, im saying that just because they would not need to use hacks for dead hard (hack related discussion started with my suggestion of dead hard being automatic) does not means they will be unpunished for other hacks. IMO dead hard is unfair perk, both for survivors and killers for various reasons including ping and internet connection. Removing this one thing would be a good way to make this perk more fair and in line.

    Dead hard starts with two (or one?) tokens and activate after unhooking someone else.

    While active, if survivor is injured dead hard nullifies next killer attack using one token, then apply deep wound and deactivates.

    If survivor is performing conspicious action, dead hard deactivates without using token.

    OK maybe I did not make myself clear enough.

    I use this method as a test if I think someone is cheating and very sus in general. People with auto DH hit it frame perfect every single time, no matter how long you wait or bait it.

    A while back I faced a subtly cheating Nea on RPD she was also tbagging and clicking with her flashlight a lot. I somehow got a hook on her in the middle of the match and she got 2nd stage because nobody was coming, but after that things were strange. I did not seem to gain distance on her or better said: she was speeding up every time I lost line of sight. Then she blinded me with a flashlight around a corner in one of the hallways while I was looking down (very sus). I left her a while and when I downed someone else she was there (still injured) to get her cheater flashlight blind. We were mindgaming around a semi safe downed pallet. One time I swung at the pallet with her on the other side and bam! she used DH.

    This is what I meant. No person in that case would DH.

    She was tbagging me in the exit gate but got banned 1 day later.

    The other things seems more like a cheat than auto dead hard. As i stated before, cheaters with auto dead hard may be confused with normal players for various reasons including coincidance. So making dead hard actually automated would change nothing. Also in case You described, i would be much more intrigue with flashlights and distance than actual dead hard usage.

    but also one thing.

    lets now create a scenario and assume that dead hard and its usage is a great way to catch cheaters alongside their other cheats. Is it really a reason why to not improve overall gameplay that includes dead hard?
