Gods, this is kind of hillarious.
But also a bit sad.
It appears a lot of survivors are suddenly trying other exhaustion perks than Dead Hard.
I've even seen builds without exhaustion perks at all.
The next few days may be a blood-bath ...

I’ve never played an exhaustion perk.

What's sad or hilarious about it?

It is possible to play this game without an Exhaustion perk.
Crazy, I know.

It's hilarious to see a bloodbath but it's also sad so many not able to cope without that perk.
I know they will though, within the next few days.
Possible, yes, but they are so powerful it has to be for a very special build or a specific function in a team.

I only run exhaustion perks life half the time, often I go without. Didn't think it was -that- weird.
2 -
Not really. I never run them. Never cared for them personally. They're not nearly as important as alot of people believe.
3 -
I used Dead Hard maybe once since I started playing, didn't like it so I just run whatever build I feel like. I generally mix up the perks for each match, which occasionally has no exhaustion perks.

Wdym? One of the absolute best survivors I ever went against was solo q hasn't used a perk since 2020 - dude has like 3k+ on power moves on the dbd leaderboard charts. I didn't see dead hard in every match, survivor or killer. It was certainly the most popular but it wasn't hardly the only one I ever saw

I'm very interested by your builds and tactics then. I'm a Sprint-burst/Overcome based survivor and my tactics usually gravitate around quick-escape/ninja. (Hiding next to the killer is my go-to stealth tactic. They see me fly away, expect I'm two blocs away or something and almost never expect I've doubled-back and don't see me.)

There was a time when this game only had Adrenaline and Sprint Burst. Like it is very possible to play and be dominate without running exhaustion perks at all. Always has been, but people just got super used to being able to have that level of power on speed dial with the flood exhaustion perks that came over the years.

My killers cover a wide range of the MMR (I'm not sure how high I've been but I'm guessing the above 10k hours teams I've versed with my Nurse were pretty high) and the only place I've seen no DH in a match was on the lower MMRs (e.g. my Trapper or my Onryo).
I know such teams exist of course, I just can't recall versing them before these last few days. (There has been a slight increase of teams using other exhaustion perks recently.)
I'm always interested in "new" tactics (from my point of view) so if you have details, I'm listening.

To be honest I'm fairly anti-exhaustion myself I started think they promote a boring place style, with the exception of head on, which is the only fun one. I hadn't run dead hard or any exhaustion perk for over a year and a half until 6.1 came out when I felt it became more essential - in which I use lithe or sprint burst. So essentially, my tactics personally haven't changed in that regards because I never used DH. I think I'm gonna bring flashies more often instead of medkits because going for flashlight saves are more fun anyways, and I took off exhaustion a few weeks ago. I'm a boosted ass survivor so I mean please don't take any survivor tactics from me lol. Also I don't even think survivor is that particularly fun so I don't really play it all THAT much either.
I'm going to be honest with you I don't play that many killers outside huntress because most of the cast of are so mind numbingly boring to play imo. The only killer I dabble in outside of her, not counting random ones for dailies, is slinger, but I assume she's my highest MMR, I win most of my matches on her and I have poured a considerable amount of time into her, and I truly didn't see dead hard EVERY match. Sorry not trying to discount your experience, it just personally isn't what I see. But you know time of day region MMR hidden etc etc :)

I still get used to wait for dh tho. so the survivor after got first hook, I always wait for dh. its kinda felt bad when they will have only two time to use it and it fail when you wait it out. hahaha
Still, event the DH works, they never twice in same game when I make sure to wait it out after their 2nd hook

I switch up my builds fairly regularly but typically it always has WoO and PtS with the other two perks changing based on my needs. Distortion, Bite the Bullet, Kindred, and Bond are probably my most used ones besides WoO and PtS.

Honestly i would play without an exhaustion perk if they weren't so good at countering tunneling. Tho i do think that bhvr should do more perks with very strong effects that are countered by being disabled while exhausted like iron will as of right now you are actively griefing yourself and your team by not having one

I run exhaustion perks all the time, but never run DH (usually Lithe). So for me, it'll be business as usual.
I don't think it'll be a bloodbath for long, or at all. People will start using SB/Lithe/BL. Sprint Burst may be the strongest of the bunch.

Give it a month
You're still gonna see DH, and people are still gonna complain about it
Some people won't be satisfied until the perk is ACTUALLY useless, even the original PTB version was still sort of useful

Well, they are good against getting caught so that covers tunnelling a bit.
Average players who relied on it will need time to adapt. The others will be fine, or as fine as they usually were.
I presume the better players will be fine.
I still believe Sprint Burst is generally better. Just more difficult to use and may be more situational.

I've finally versed a few DH, both with my weaker and my best killers. I'm not completely used to it yet but I can tell this is not the abomination it used to be anymore. It will not force every player to "handle" it or try to provoke it for every single chase, not knowing if it's in play or not.

While I think this is true to an extent, I don't think we'll see it rebound the very top like we saw after it dipped following the 6.1.0 nerf. This one is worse.
If I'm wrong and it does, the next nerf might be fatal.

It's more so that some people are deadset in their beliefs that "dead hard shouldn't exist" so when it finds its place whether it's still meta or niche, I think people are still going to complain about it once people get a handle on how it fits into their playstyle
Granted, the most annoying part about it for the Killer side has been addressed (not knowing it's there and having to wait), but a new problem will arise, most likely killers having a decent early game and then losing it because of extended chases by swinging into people's dead hards they got earlier or people saving their DHs until absolutely necessary which I imagine will make killers feel even more robbed.
I swear people are still going to complain no matter what. Dead Hard is probably the closest thing the role has to a Nurse equivalent in terms of complaints.
Non stop complaining until it's completely gone.

Never used it in my life. Used to use Lithe, then Overcome since Jonah's release. No point using Overcome now though.

Ive only played with Balanced Landing and Smash Hit.
So Im use to having Exhaustion Perks that do nothing anyways.

Me, who has only used Dead Hard a few times to get to inconvenient areas but can no longer due this since the og dead hard, died hard

Ive been DH since the beginning. My cope is this: DH, Lithe, Adrenaline, Distortion.
Lithe most of the game, use DH on death hook/end game. Killer doesnt suspect it since Lithe is 'my only exhaustion' perk.
Has worked wonders so far.

Let's just wait, it's the first days of a new patch, the game feels messy and everyone tries out new things, but soon it will be more balanced. But yeah in the few games i played they couldn't finish more than 1-2 gens every game...
Also i'm pretty sure MMR needs to re-arrange.

i was fine with the dh nerfs but now i want them reverted; i never run DH and I don't want people assuming I'm some ex-DH user experimenting with new builds

You make a good point. I've already seen players using it more carefully (in my good-killer matches).
That being said, I don't think the complains will come back, not from reasonable players. (We know there are some more ... emotional ... elements.)
DH can only be used twice during a game, and only after the first hook. It means the important first chase can be shorter than it was pre-6.7.0
It also means a survivor only gets at most two more health-states (from that perk). That's some precious seconds the killer can save there.
I've missed something? Why is there no point using Overcome anymore? (That's my most used exhaustion at the moment.)
Smart. I wouldn't expect it either.
It's a given in time players will adapt, like always.
I've also been wondering if there was something wrong with the MMR. Hard to say at the moment though.
