suggestion: hide prestige of survivors in the lobby (at least option to do so)

since the new prestige system got introduced it's not new that seeing the prestige of the character somebody is playing conditions either your gameplay style, who to focus on or even dodge directly that game. i think that a pretty healthy change could be to hide the prestige of the survivors in the lobby or at least the option to do so. it's kind of annoying that for playing the character i like the most and i have invested the most in i get a certain treatment, or i can't find a game for +10 minutes because some killers would dodge the lobby. killers get too much information from the lobbies already, and the prestige level of the survivors should not be a thing. items, profiles and names if not in anonymous mode (not new nor surprise that some people also treat these also differently) is more than enough information for killers when survivors go blindly to the trials (fair enough so they can't pick a specific build to counter the killer they'll face).

please, really consider this!

exactly, i meant hide it in the pre-game lobby, it's completely fine in the endgame lobby (I still think there should be an option to hide it on both regardless. the more options the more people will be happy choosing what the want). seeing prestige conditions too many people and has gotten annoying, even is used as an insult if you have a bad game (happens also in endgame when survivors see the prestige of the killer, making fun of them for being high prestige and not getting a good score).

Although I agree the bigger problem is it being shown in the lobby I disagree about it being fine after the game, it leads to people giving biased feedback about SBMM/MMR because they associate a big number with skills (knowingly or not).

So what? If they didn't like how you play, they are going to trash talk anyway.

Prestige just changes text, but meaning is same.

If you don't like it, hide postgame chat. I didn't use all those BP so no one can see it.

They pissed me off once before with those red prestige character borders. It's useless when you are only one who can see it imo.

I don't think either side should be able to see ANYTHING about their opponents until after the match.

Agreed, just let us know survivors are in the lobby.

I'm leaving a lot of survivors un-prestiged because I like having killers stay in the lobby.

    I wouldn't like that.

I change my builds based on what I see. If you hide everything, people will start to use some broken stuff on both sides.

I would basically expect worst every game.

If I play my main killers, I wouldn't really care. But there are teams I wouldn't want to face with Pig.

I get that, but survivors are forced to face killers who instadown when they brought perks like overcome or lucky break. If they are really trying to balance the game then it would be fair that both sides see everything, or nothing. Or at least an equal amount of information.

Survivors get more information during the game, killer gets more information in lobby.

    Seems balanced to me.

I agree that prestige levels should he hidden, and I also think that player names should also be hidden until the post-game lobby on the off-chance that survivors are streamers that the killer can snipe from having their info shown ahead of the match. Especially given that killers enjoy this anonymity until post-game while survivors don't.

Alternatively, show the killer's prestige level and an icon to indicate if they are TTV so that I also have an opportunity to consent to the match-up.
