Yeah, they need to be removed, they've always been a problem, they're still a problem, even after the multiple nerfs they've gotten.
Arguably worse now that Gen Regression took quite a hit, this addon is a product of its time, aka when balance didnt even existed, it doesnt belong in the game anymore.

I mean, I wouldn't MIND if BNP's were removed.
In games where there are BNP's I've noticed, I do better. Completely anecdotal, but I don't think they are a huge issue at this time.
Perhaps my mind will change as the meta develops, but for now, I don't have too much of an issue with them.

Have you ever tried to bring a bnp in solo? I don't even try because I know I will lose 🙃
It's unbalanced with a swf team? Yes.
That's the "BHVR's definition" of balance. Completely busted with a swf team but useless in solo.

I've always just found them odd that it's so much of a game changer than most of the other survivor addons. I'm into having similarly distinct addons for other items but BNP could benefit with being scaled back a bit

This is the survivor equivalent to some of the killer's iri add ons. It is suppose to feel impactful and strong.

They'll go the same way everything else has gone. Nerfed in to the ground. I personally don't mind them, but I didn't see a problem with the gen regression perks or medkits, so I guess as far as the Devs are concerned, I'm part of the problem.

behavior need a meta shake up patch strictly base on nerfing and buffing addons. BNP, TS peice & infinite, mother daughter, and some blight stuff need to go.

They literally cry about anything that is half way decent.
I have already seeing posts calling for nerfing SB, Lithe and yes BNP.

I agree that brand new part is a problem and pain to deal with. But I probably would say it’s needs to be reworked and nerf rather than remove.

I can kind of seeing that happening but if it will make the game even more balanced then I’m for it.

I've literally seen posts about needing nerfs to aura perks. If that isn't the definition of entitlement, I don't know what is...

They have nerfed that thing considerably and its still an issue, its just something that cant exist unless it recibes a complete rework which is the same as just removing it.
The sole purpose of this addon is for gen rushing, nothing else.

True, but keep in mind that many killers’ iri addons are trash and not impactful at all. I know you said “some of the killers’ Iri add-ons” so maybe you were already acknowledging this

Keep in mind that in a game where 4man SWF brings 4 commodius with yellow charges and BNP, they still fall short if killer brings MDR+amulet (expecting both sides are competent). The difference is not huge, but it's still there.
The point is - yes. BNP's are busted. So are (exactly as you said some) iri addons. In a fair game both of these (and not just spirit's) or none of these needs to go. Otherwise you just want for one side to be able to always win if they so decide (and it doesn't matter which side you decide to nerf - if it's BNP's, it's killers free wins. If it's only those busted iri addons, survivors have free wins)...

are you serious? childish. someone has complained about a grossly over powered add-on and you are talking about their choice on which side they play. it is completely irrelevant whether they play survivor or killer. people who actually believe that killers vs survivors extends into out-of-game interactions are the most childish, selfish, toxic people and are ruining the community and the game itself.

This is why I never take anything better than browns and yellows into games. I'm a soloQ survivor and I feel no reason to take good items when my team could be a sack of potatoes that waste any good my items can do.

I don't think that's crazy. Only 25% of the generator's progress is once per game. It already has severe limitations and needs some skill. Its only strength is when you play (SWF), but that means the team doesn't have any other Items, and it's easy to pressure them

Maybe using a BNP should consume the entirety of the toolbox instantly, similar to how syringes consume the medkit? That way, you get the 25% quickly added to the gen, but can't continue to repair faster from the toolbox after?
Idk, just brainstorming. But I feel like none of the people posting about "nerf SB" or "ermergerd Prove Thyself" or BNPs right now remember that solo queue exists and will become completely unplayable if every killer-requested nerf went through. It's already a nightmare.

I never use bnp. Using those at the start of the trial is a waste, using those at the end is near impossible. Im better with bringing map and looking for totems for my boon build

Make toolboxes sabotage only and retire the BNP. Moris do basically nothing but the BNP is way too strong.
