No. I will not be happy for my teammates escaping while I die.

And would that supposedly be defined?
0-1k/3-4e => you lost/your team won
2k/2e => draw/draw
3-4k/0-1e => you won/your team lost
Or how would be the cut there? Because I can assure you people still wouldn't be happy with what i proposed here.

You could do it that way if you wanted. Sure, not everyone would be happy with it, but it's also how a lot of people are looking at matches already.
I really don't care what the metric is. You could put a timer in or reward hook states. You could have major and minor victories. That's not my desire. I think the game would be easier to balance and there would be less toxicity and easier player communications if there were clear win conditions.
But I also understand that's not BHVR's design philosophy so I really doubt anything like that will ever change.

If someone has to be camped on hook, why shouldn't it be you? Who do you suggest? Another of your teammates?
Better luck next match.

Wrong. 3 sirvivors win, 1 loses.
Unlike Identity V there is no team victory mechanic ( that game gives 30% extra points for 3+ escapes or kills)
I'd like to point out something about Op's point about killers not getting told to enjoy losing.
"Be happy with 3k and dont even try for 4k you sweaty tryhard" is like one of the ten commandments of this community. EVERY ######### KILLER gets told to not go for the full kills.
You think its bad to be told that your death mighrve helped the others escape? Now imagine if everyone, even other survs would pressure you into accepting to deliberately not going for an escape afzer you did 1.2 gens.
Your gripe with dying is legit, no objections on my side. But the community wants to treat survivors as a team, for various reasons.

This is the definition of a survivor win. If you don't agree, it's on you.

Survivor is a team game why are you mad at people for being happy they helped the team win lmao if anything you're the one who should switch to killer if you're so mad about survivors escaping...
Also you're mad at your own team winning but others are worse because they're happy they make their team win?
Like seriously this is just sad, if you can't understand that 4 survivors is a TEAM because your have your own separate score (although I absolutely agree the "sacrifice" doesn't get enough compensation) you're never going to enjoy playing survivor (and are probably not a very good teammate.)
Just play killer, or literally any solo game ever. Why would you play a team game and be mad about it being a team game...just play something you like fr

I think he is not anry because they didn't get 4 mans escape but because he looped the killer 5 gens and his team just left him to die. If anyone though of the survivors deserved to escape it was him in that match. I usually sacrifice myself in endgame for my teammate who looped killer 5 gens because they deserve the escape more than I do.

I understand this is a game, but if that's how you'll act to a team, it sounds like you have the problem. I'm not justifying random survivors, but I would be cheering if my team got out except me. I don't measure my team's success by my own. You look at the leaderboard and if your dead, you write it off as the worst game ever. And besides the fun is in the chases. I'm a maniac in DBD and that's what I love doing. So if I get tunneled, who cares? no one else is getting downed then I count that as a win. (But I do agree that you should get a bit more Bloodpoints for each survivor escape.)

How would we achieve that though? If op escapes and someone else feels like this, we'd still have the same issue. That's why I said that 4 escapes is the only acceptable outcome. Otherwise someone else might be unhappy.
Seriously, this is a team game for survivors. In other games games you'd be fine dying, if your team wins. This should not be treated different.

4 man out should be the only acceptable outcome against a bad killer except it isn't rn, a bubba makes a mistake of committing to someone the whole game they deserve 0 kills but they get 1, it's stupid. Not to mention on the flip side u have "1+ kills is the only acceptable outcome, every killer should have a chainsaw"

There is no "deserve". If you get caught by the killer, you will get killed.

That's great and all but no one should get mad if a player decides to leave instead of hanging on a hook and not being able to play the game.

You're not wrong. But again, how would we change that without completely breaking this killer? Passive overheat near hooks is not a good idea. Anything like this would either be useless or abusable.

https://docs.google.com/document/d/1yA3gNagzUVrOhFy3Qvu5z-a_OQtRpZav4MXFuJxKr7M/edit?usp=drivesdk something similar to the territorial zone idea proposed in this doc would be good, I agree w the basics of it slowly growing and then shrinking when u start a chase outside of it so it doesn't get abusable
