New matchmaking is interesting

I like that I can find games but I haven't played in two seasons worth of time so if you are good at killer in my case huntress you are a wrecking ball. Because of mainly baby survivors getting a bad introduction to the game by getting owned the first couple of games.

    I think that a big issue with DbD is that there is only ranked (unless you count Kill Your Friends). So players, survivors and killers alike, can derank and destroy newbies. And I am sure this deters many people from wanting to play.

    The ranking system has issues it can't measure skill of a player really at all.

    I’m a rank 11 survivor and for the last 3 games I have been paired up with people in the very low ranks. I’m talking about rank 17-20. Yeah.


    I can also tell by how they play: not doing generators, jumping over pallets making noise, not unhooking anyone, etc. The game for me at the moment doesn’t even seem playable. F and L.

    I'm having a ridiculous long wait time between games and when I find them they're always a jumbled mess much lower or higher ranks and the Killer has a ######### ping, I know it's my choice to play with a Killer who has bad internet but when the wait time is 15 minutes I don't have much choice.

    Yeah, I agree. Matchmaking is so long, you just take what you can get.

    Depending on when you play, you may or may not even be on the new matchmaking system. The new system is going through intermittent tests to make sure it works properly. A couple days ago there was a test that caused issues for some, for example, and it was later switched off.

    Either the new system is playing a bad joke on me or normal is just pairing me with constant swf. Had two gens pop before I could patrol to the third.
