The grudge
I know dbd kinda teased the word grudge on twitter and alot of people I have seen probably thinks ju-on the grudge as in kayako. I honestly think dbd should wait to add the grudge maybe after the anniversary they can add her. I think we need something big like Jason, FNAF, and Alien one of those 3 for the anniversary chapter. But I would love it if they add kayako in the game right after. People may think kayako and sadako are the same which is false because yes they are both are similar in appearances. Both japanese spirits, long black hair and pale white skin. Kayako and Sadako are different spirits. Kayako was killed by her husband when he snapped her neck which causes her to make that croaking noise and she broke her ankle when she tried running from him which is why she crawls. She also has a son that was killed Toshio the little boy that was drowned in the tub by his father which is also kayako's husband. Kayako has a curse that anyone who enters her house will venge them with a terrifying death. She kills them using her hair like she's done in in the movies. I think Kayako and Toshio would be a perfect duo in dbd something like the twins could have been like.

Personally, I hope the anniversary chapter isn't the grudge. After the previous two poor chapter releases, DBD desperately needs a huge license for the anniversary, and while the grudge wouldn't be a bad option for a DBD chapter, it just isn't big enough to warrant an anniversary chapter.

Yea I agree I think in the future she should be added but not for the anniversary maybe we can get Alien or FNAF

I hope it will not be the grudge.
- We have already 3 Onryo ghosts in dbd: Spirit, Oni, Sadako. We should get something new.
- Yu-On curse is a building curse, not person. It can manifest as person (Kayako and her son in this regards) but its home that is cursed (except next american movies which broke this concept). How this can be translated? Killer shack or main building is killing?

It's too obvious and before in other licenced chapters it's been much more subtle. I still remember the 4th anniversary where the clue was how the 4 was shaped, where I think only one person guessed it was Pyramid Head and they were laughed off because of the reasoning, yet they were the one laughing in the end. Also, for the first RE chapter, I think the 5 had the same font and style as the original RE3 game's font which me and a couple of others got.
Don't get me wrong; maybe this could be a hint for a chapter that will be released later this year perhaps? However, for the anniversary this feels a bit too in-yer-face to be real.

Not the only one but probably one of the few. Alien would be a huge boon to the game, and the people who want FNAF in this game far outweigh those who don't to an almost absurd degree

Would it be possible if Kayako can use her hair as one of her powers to hook and attack survivors and she also teleports maybe they can use her like the dredge and make her vaulting a teleport also they can use her son to go stalk and expose survivors similar to ghostface and michael

Idk personally I've never found space themes or anything scary. Alien 1 was good but after that it just went so far downhill that the series kinda became a joke. I like my stuff to be something I can realistically see myself in for it to scare me and ig seeing a xenomorph on an intergalatic spaceship doesn't feel like something I could ever see myself facing in my life in any capacity. This isn't about realism btw this is about what I can feel like I can envision myself in so like I could definitely see me dying to some cursed video tape demon or something since its in a setting thats familiar and I'm able to imagine if that makes sense

i hope we get her at sompoint since she is a dream character of mine to be added but i do think she would be a underwelming chapter for most players so im fine if it isn't her. just hope she gets added at somepoint.
