Can one of the Devs explain...
Since the update most killers are tunneling the first survivor on hook and survivors are doing gens as fast as the game allows with perks and items on offer.
I'm not being an arse, I'm just curious to know if this is what the Devs envisioned when they made all of these changes to the game in the most recent update..
I can sympathize with both sides, since taking away killers gen regression perks they feel like they have little to no pressure, so tunneling might feel like the best option. Survivors have one objective, do the gens, so if the killer is only interested in one survivor regardless of who tries to take agro, why wouldn't survivors do gens as fast as possible?
Can the Devs explain, is this the best strategy right now for both side and is this what they wanted from the update.

Bit rich to think a dev would have any more insight into player psychology than you or anyone else.
I mean you said it yourself, people may feel like they have less gen pressure now and go straight to hard tunnelling/camping. Generally speaking, people will take the path of least resistance. Outliers are sweats and super casuals - but the majority of players are going to do what works, with as little effort as possible, right up until it doesn't work anymore, and that unfortunately is just how people are.

I don't mind how people play, I was really just curious to see if this is what the devs wanted to happen as a result of the update.

Fair enough i suppose. On the surface it does seem at times that these sweaty playstyles are encouraged. Hopefully you get an answer
