Any Means Necessary is now kill switched.
Due to a bug allowing survivors to access areas unintended.
I just want to say, it's weird they never killswitched Merciless Storm when it was bugged in a way that allowed it to fully regress gens.

It was... Merciless was one time kill switch... For litterally nothing because after that, the perk have always the same bug... And after the PTB, it was no more

Or when Knight was able to reach Mach speeds if he got stunned at the wrong time. BHVR killswtiches things they want, not things that need killswitching.

Don't get me wrong. Killswitching Any Means makes sense. It's just weird how little they utilize the feature espically when we've had bigger bugs that were never killswitched.

Pretty sure the killswitch is only used when it’s actually breaking the game as in crashes or in this case apparently reaching inaccessible areas (which could directly lead to crashes or being stuck indefinitely or similar)
Merciless Storm wasn’t killswitched because the game would still perfectly progress naturally - just that a gen got regressed (which it can under different circumstances as well)
killswitching isn’t supposed to be used often for any kind of bugs as it’s features that people pay for that get deactivated.

They've killswitched for inaccessible totems before.
10 -
they killswitched the maps which are not per se directly payed for by individuals?
i mean, I am not actually defending them here btw, just stating how I understood them.

id argue gamebreaking should also include things which are easily exploitable, or just things that are explotable in general
7 -
Yes I agree. Including inaccessible totems and that Merciless Storm bug. That’s why I said I don’t defend them on this.
also now thinking about it.. wasn’t Clown killswitched once for something not directly game breaking? Some speed glitch? So they aren’t really consistent anyways

Didn't they killswitch Inner Strength when it would permanently enable itself whenever any totem was broken?

Clown and dredge, OoO all killswitched without causing crashes and making the game unplayable. Spirit not killswitched while effectively making it unplayable against her (hey, 6-7 daily spirits I encountered during the bug that coincidentally disappeared right after??)
Twins never killswitched for the same bug that got nurse killswitched
Edit: Wake up kill switched because it caused the killer to crash when the survivors touched the exit gates

Yes. I was wrong. They are just very inconsistent with what is getting killswitched

Merciless had a bug that potentially made a gen regress up to 70% instantely after the "fix".
That's not broken but it's exceptionally powerful. Shpuld've been killswitched

Wake Up WAS crashing the game. It made the killer crash when the survivor touched an exit gate.
But yeah I wish they were more consistent with it. Twins and Merciless Storm both should’ve been disabled when they were bugged.

Hopefully it's fixed soon, I actually quite like Any Means :(

Good old BHVR, creating more "us Vs them" division.

What? That’s literally just the community though?

Wait, you are right, i forgor

So they should killswitch the network connection, which is easily exploitable? I dont think thats a good idea.

No but they should improve server netcode so that those with high ping don't have such an advantage, and have a maximum ping level where if it's exceeded for too long the match is just ended because people exploiting vpns for a purposeful advantage shouldn't be able to happen 💖

Hasnt this AMN bug been a thing for a bit? I saw a video on it being possible like a month ago but i never saw it be used in a actual match. Or is this a different bug?

Tbh this is the first im hearing of it

What us vs them division? The merciless storm bug was the most recent, but as other people have posted there's various of other bugs affecting killers and survivors that also didn't get killswitch that many agree should have. There's just no consistency to the killswitch.

oh i agree with you, but it was just to show how that idea of yours does not work in all cases.

More like uncleansable Devour Hope.
