It's time for the 1st time in DBD's History, delete a killer vote
I think the majority of the playerbase can agree, killer and survivor mains as a whole, that Skull Merchant is the worst killer ever made in DBD by far.
Her power is boring, when you as a survivor load in and see her ugly face you can know what's to come.
Better check the stats of how many people dc and suicide against her compared to other killers, bet she leaves dust to nurse even.
BHVR didn't manage to fix her since all SM players still just camp 3 gens and force dces for their win streak thinking they're otzdarva. It''s time to vote for a complete deletion or a full rework, while she's being killswitched until the rework is done.

If someone hits another with a bat, do you blame the bat or the person? Merchant herself is fine, but the way people play her is annoying. Not worth deleting, reworked maybe, but not deleted.

Many people agreed she's worth deleting. in other posts as well, but I also suggested a full rework while she's killswitched by the time it's done.

It's because those are playing survivor from time to time to with their friends, they wanna have fun, this killer is played in anti fun way by 90% of it's players. it was never intended by the devs for any killer to spawn and hold a 3 gen in this game. it's okay to admit you failed as a company and now you have a character who drags every match by 30 minutes until people die or dc.

Out of all the options we have in the game, I'd sooner vote out the Twins than Skull Merchant, and potentially Pinhead too. Not to say SM isn't a close 2nd or 3rd.

They say it because u know the outcome of the match which is boring. at least against nurse she will destroy u in 3 minutes and u move next but with SM u gotta wait 20-30 minutes or just dc or suicide.

They have kinda had "delete a killer" before. Freddy was essentially deleted not long after release since he has pretty much nothing from his prior iteration

Even forever freddy days where he was an A - S tier killer days were better than the SM situation. people at least tried and it was very possible to beat Freddy in his glory days. you're a pig main like i was before blight so i know how u feel as sometimes being forced to playing M1, but we have no choice and SM can just hold a 3gen from the beginning like knight players used to do a lot lmao.

I'm also talking about way before forever freddy. He had to physically go make people fall asleep, was invisible unless someone was asleep, people couldn't be hurt prior to being asleep. He was a big issue but in a different way. Playing as him was boring and overly difficult. Survivors would often be bored having to spend so much time waking up. Plus there were more ways to wake up easily.

Her power doesn't offer her anything most of time if you don't put them in high traffic areas a.k.a near gens. When you try to put them in other places survivors just don't interact with them at all. When survivors can completely ignore your power until you force their hand by interfering with their objective you're not going to be incentivized to use it in other ways. Play them mid chase or preemptively at strong loop areas and you're rewarded with long chases with no benefits given. You can try to mind game since you get stealth while being in the drone, but pretty much everyone runs away the moment they hear any drone noise so the stealth is wasted. We only get the haste if y'all take a clawtrap, but setting drones out early hoping for folks to disarm them often results in watching your drones just sit around most of the game. The tracking is useful, but only if you're in a position to make use of it and she doesn't have the innate mobility to do so if you're patrolling across these gigantic maps away from your drone areas then you've got no shot of making a play on all that info.
Y'all want people to play the killer in a "more fun" way while she's not built to do that well. It's more fun for you, but less fun for the other human being playing Skull Merchant because your power often becomes a non factor. If you're playing killer it is because you want to have fun using your unique power and her power can only reach it's current potential by being hardstuck to gens so y'all have to deal with them. This why folks constantly complain to the devs to stop making killer powers that put the actual fun aspects in the hands of survivors as a form of counterplay rather than in the hands of player actually using the killer.
It's frustrating because I really like Skull Merchant and the idea she brings to the table can work if I as a player could spend more time using my power rather than being an average m1 killer because no one wants to disarm drones not on gens or because no one is dumb enough to stay in a loop for ten seconds to get exposed if they can just keep running straight.

Yeah we will have to see. I would prefer that version of freddy (granted stronger). His current one is pretty boring.
Skull merchant could be better with some minor tweaks. Her Manual Drone activation should change. Maybe give a delay and a warning to survivors that it's about to start. Give time limit for drones to be in an area. Make drones follow survivors slowly so they don't just sit in a spot (but not so fast survivors can't leave them).

Skull Merchant is nice for newer killers because she's pretty strong without needing that much mechanical skill or a ton of DLC perks IMO

- Totally agree with your first paragraph, that's why she needs a full rework or be deleted, her power is useless.(unless she wants to ruin the game for 4 people)
- You say you wanna play with that killer but you can't use her power, so why play her from the beginning? you enjoy your power being used on gens for making the game easy for yourself?(not talking directly to you, hyphotetically)
- she wasn't build to do that, people ignore the tracking and aspects of her power because it's useless in the meta gameplay, survivors ignore it as you said. that's why this killer is a failure cause people found not healthy play to win with it.

They think they know. Even if the merchant camps the 3 gen straight away, if they suck then it's not even a 30 min game. People just assume that every merchant plays the same. While we can't deny a lot of them DO play the slough game, fact still is it's a player problem, not on merchant herself.

He can be annoying but I don't find him nearly as flawed as SM, skull merchant is a total failure, in any single way.

It's not assuming it's a fact by now, I see it all the time 8/10 SM's are camping 3 gens. I go in a match and ask myself why the killer didn't come to our area so long? then I go and see 3 drones far away and realize "oh again .. nice"

People absolutely do just assume every Skull Merchant is going to hard 3-gen. I played Skull Merchant before the mid-chapter and I took every chase that presented itself, wasn't using overbrine (just eruption), and I wasn't kicking gens incessantly. I got a 4k and afterwards one of the survivors messages me and goes "no more 30 minute games for you after the update you'll have to get good"... the match was like 8 minutes lol. no one even dced or killed themselves. It's like he just got it in his head that's what all skull merchants do and just shut his brain off to what was actually happening

You're an outlier and most of the SM players aren't playing like u and want to secure a win cause they get money for it, so they camp a 3 gen from the moment the camera zooms around their model when they spawn.

I'm not in favor to delete any of the killers, but I will welcome the idea of weekly rotating killer/perk(both survivors and killers)/offering bans. That would shake up the gameplay.

By your admission, 1/5 (2/10) sm are not camping 3 gens. That means your not guaranteed to a camping one. Fact is that she can do it, not fact that she will or is competent enough against the survivors facing her.
We get you (and 90+% of ppl) do not like the 3 gen camp. Does not mean scorched earth policy is needed for her just because other players are uncreative.

I’d rather not delete any killer even the ones I hate. Every killer has a community who loves them and removing that is not worth it p,us all the development time and cosmetics refunds

I always wonder, does anyone who posts a "delete X" thread actually expect X to be deleted?
Rework, sure, I can get behind that, but actual deletion of a character isn't gonna happen and everyone knows it, so these kinds of threads always come off as venting, at best.

Sorry it's just that your post wanted to show that you're playing in a special way but you can clearly see how is the general experience of gamers here from the other people that play SM, who aren't you.
Survivors play sweaty yeah but they still have to .. play the game, you know? getting chased, downed, save use perks and such.
She can just go into a match, see a 3 gen, stand there, and win. that's the issue, she plays her own game.

I don't like it's esthetic but Nightfall is the worst. I can't see a thing and can't hear anything because of that godawful wailing.
Also it attacked Maurice which is unforgivable.
