Dbd seem to work on proton 8.2 steam deck
Couldnt find the main topic, but i just launched dbd on steam deck from steam using proton-db 8.2 and it worked perfextly, played an online match as survivor, and died. Sooo quite the normal experience i'd say

I'd give it a shot on GE Proton on as well. I've always had things run smoother on the GE version. This is awesome either way though.

I was able to get it working using the "Experimental" tagged Proton (this was a few days ago when the latest actual version number I saw was I think 8.0.1). It ran fine though some of the loads were lengthy and skill check inputs seemed to have a bit of input delay.

Proton-GE should take care of the skill check issue. You can install protonupqt to make managing Proton versions a bit easier.

No problem! We have an unofficial Linux support thread going in another section of the forums if you run into anything else. You shouldn't run into too much trouble though now that they've enabled it on Steam.
