So now every killer is using Sloppy Butcher or what?
Just wondering since I see it in every single match!

Not everyone, no. It's a good perk on most Killers, so naturally many players use it. What else do you want to hear? :)

I use sloppy as a filler perk for when I don't know what to run. Otherwise I would run Thanataphobia over sloppy, it's much better once you get the snowball going. But many people have "swore by the mangled meta" saying it's better than ruin.
0 -
Yeah it’s part of a meta that’s going around. I run into a lot of Sb killers, or thanaphobia.
0 -
Mostly yeah.
That's why I'll bring We'll Make It or Botany Knowledge to counter it.
0 -
Yup.
100% of all Killers were forced to run Sloppy Butcher.
Seriously though, i can see why they would: It makes you waste more time on something that you really wanna do and it's not helping towards progression at all.
3 -
Sloppy is the only counter to healing that actually is good
So why not run it
3 -
90% Survs use always SC so you know sloopy buther is in meta not becose of reason.
2 -
and why not use it?
0 -
Personally It helps slow down the game for me, often more than Ruin.
0 -
Try to type: "why not use it?" in Sprint Burst's thread.
I'd lol 5/7 of the times.
1 -
The vast majority of survivor use selfcare
Sloppy butcher indeer selfcare
The real question is why wouldn't you take a perk that is guaranty to slow down the survivors
0 -
Sloppy is a great perk. I use it on most of my killer builds. It probably could use a little nerf, but until then I'll probably be using it more times than not.
0 -
Not a good counter, because now optimal survivors won't heal at all and genrush with adrenalin lol
At least I do this since the healing nerf, and as long as you are good enough at chasing you don't care about beeing injured. Unless it's a nurse. And since the release of Legion it's even more a waste of equipping selfcare.
People were complaining about genrushing and now survivors genrush even more. Let's see when it makes "click" in the head of the last guy.
0 -
It's a common perk so readily available, would your prefer noed?
0 -
What else are you supposed to do.
You need to slow down the genrush, no question about that.
Dying light => useless, especially with the new DS
Ruin => highly RNG
So there is only sloppy butcher left, or you do you have another suggestion for us killers?
0 -
Surprising that the surv mains ain't complaining yet to nerf SB
0 -
Surprising that many complain about it yet never counter it.
SB = 20%
BK = 33%
Job done. Lets not even get into WMI which is incredibly powerful. People want to bring their DS/Adrenaline/SB combo and aren't willing to take a perk to counter a perk. BK combos with SC anyway so it's incredibly useful.

It's a good perk that isn't particularly situational. It usually takes the slot of Make Your Choice or NOED on my killers.
It's exceptionally strong with Spirit and Hag, since they get a lot of benefit out of Monitor & Abuse and A Nurse's Calling together.

I run botany and resilience and with this you heal in a decent amount of time and if you 99 the heal then you have a 9% boost on everything
0 -
Yet the big big majority of Survivors choose to invest their time healing, even with Sloppy Butcher on them. And its not wrong. Running around injured to do generators might be effective, but its risky. Get found by the Killer and its half of your chase gone. Its like having a free exposed and Whispers effects.

I use it in combo with bloodhound. Great for tracking. Follow the red brick road.
0 -
How is sloppy butcher compared to thanathophobia in slowing the game down?
0 -
If it's bad for you, there's 2 counters, don't heal and genrush with Resilience or you can use SC, Botany knowledge and yellow medkit for ultra fast healing.
0 -
Thanatophobia turns your bar red. Sloppy Butcher actually slows down stuff.
0 -
I personally like the perk it slows healing a bit more. I think someone on here calculated how long it takes; (around 30 seconds?)
Legion players use this. It’s disgusting lmao.
1 -
Legions abuse SB as they abuse unhook cancel with deep wound
I hope Legion rework comes, otherwise my surv will always DC on legion matches
0 -
Stack SB with Double Knife combo on Legion to slow the game down "Just a little bit."
0 -
Its surprising yeah, shouldnt a killer perk be stronger than a survivor one? 1vs4 ya know.....
1 -
Except, if they do that, your chases are half the length. So it still plays in your favor. Genrush will happen, but making them heal longer or stay injured is still a positive for a killer.

@BACKSTABBER this legion would like to see you in the fog
1 -
Thanks but this toxic Nea dont lol
0 -
@BACKSTABBER oh you’re toxic never mind stay away!😭 I don’t wanna get juked!
1 -
Actually legion will try to get near you with frenzy if you do this, also all of the perks you said counters it is incorrect against most killers, adrenaline countered by bear traps and huntress's hatchets and of course clowns bottles reducing the speed overall. This perk also is a good mix with the perk Bloodhound, then again this perk is good in general with scratch marks being miss leading you need a perk like this

I like to run Sloppy and Thana together instead of using Ruin. It makes the game harder for sure, but it is IMO more reliable and potentially more effective than Ruin. You just need to have a killer that can land hits quickly. I use it on Spirit and Trapper mostly (former because she is fast and can land hits quickly, latter because it still punishes survs when they get out of the trap). Sloppy says "don't waste time healing" and Thana says "you should heal before doing anything" which forces survivors to eat time either way. And if you get all 4 injured the game almost stops while they heal themselves. And unlike Ruin it can't be taken away from you, they have to deal with it all game.
2 -
I run autodidact and then I dont get a killer with sloppy but as soon as I take it off every one has sloppy :(
0 -
The best survivors I verse don't heal, especially not for the last 2 or less gens. And this "tactic" is getting more and more popular since the healing nerf and all the killers using sloppy butcher.
All I'm trying to say is that the plan to slow down the game didn't work, in fact people genrush more and more.
Let's see what's going to happen next
0 -
Interesting I will try it after getting thana.
0 -
You mean people do the objective they're supposed to? :O
If they stay injured, it's a one hit down. Easier.
If you still have issues with genrush, and not healing, run tinkerer? Bitter murmer?
There are plenty of perks at your disposal to tailor your playstyle, and to makeup for where you have issues.
0 -
I don't have issues, what are u talking about lol
0 -
I didnt mean you specifically. I meant if a killer has an issue with gens, theres an option. I meant "you" as in whoever is in the situation.
0 -
That's why you need Thana to punish them for not healing. If they try to do this gens take forever solo and they have to team up. They are forced to heal first then do gens, which Sloppy punishes by making heals take forever.
1 -
Sloppy, Thana, Ruin and BBQ.
Would that be a bad build?
0 -
Bitter murmur doesn't stop a genrush. Tinkerer is situational at best and worthless on the slower killers. In fact Bitter murmur is also questionable on the killers with lower map presence.
1 -
*Knock knock*
"who is there?"
"prove thyself, toolboxes and Resilience want to talk to you"
1 -
No medkit means no heals. If you get caught then you are easy prey. If you focus on gens and not on heals killer can just start slugging to slow down them game if you are all injured.
Not to mention those work against Ruin too.
0 -
And i will down them instantly with hag and billy. For real not healing makes a killers life way easier especially if you got a good headset
0 -
What about Iron will?
0 -
lol@using thana
0 -
I was never easy prey, it's always easy to run a killer for a bit, even injured.
