Crow's Eye Offering
Does anyone know why the crow's eye offering has been switched off? Is there an issue with Forsaken Boneyard?

They removed the map from rotation because of an invisible wall on the staircase that was pushing killers off. As such, the offering has also been disabled.

Ah, that's what was making it so hard to get up the stairs lol

Something that affects the killer -
BHVR: Kill switch it right away!
Something that affects the survivor (like merciless storm) -
BHVR: We will take our time updating it and won't kill switch it.

Didn't dredge also got killswitched when it affected survivors?

Dredge going invisible got kill switched, Merciless did get kill switched at one point (sure not long enough but it did), when the clown could get perma haste from bottles he was kill switched.
When killers were being fat shamed due to buggy map generation, those maps never got kill switched. So don't really know what you're talking about.
Can you give me 5 times where something hasn't been kill switched by BHVR that was used to the killer advantage.

Something that killers can't remotely do anything about: BHVR killswitches
Something that is highly inconsistent and doesn't break the game: BHVR doesn't need to killswitch
Now is fair to expect it to be fixed by now? Maybe so. Considering it isn't fixed yet, but not killswitched it probably isn't simple fix

Inner strength was bugged at one point where you could use it more than once after cleansing one totem. That's not game breaking, but it got killed switched right away. Using a perk that regresses your gen close to zero right away (used a lot by doctor which made it harder to do that skill check) is not game breaking, but didn't get killed switched at all. That inner strength locker I'm sure cost a few killer games, but MS cost a few survivor games I was in. It was bugged and they waited forever to fix it and didn't kill switch until then.

It did, weeks after it was known to be a bug. This map bug just recently started to get noticed so it got kill switched right away. Dredge was kill switched near a patch update and he was barely killed switched. They did it because a lot of people complained and they couldn't ignore it.

Inner Healing: 2 Days of Abuse & Killswitched
Any Means Necessary: 16 Days, No Abuse & Killswitched (Mastermind & Demogorgon can go out of bounds with their powers too. The bug wasn't even about this perk, it was RPD but OK.)
Eyrie of Crows: 9 Days of Abuse & Killswitched
Hex: Huntress Lullaby: 17 Days of Abuse, waited for Patch
Sloppy Butcher: 17 Days of Abuse, waited for Patch
Merciless Storm: 28 Days of HEAVY abuse, waited for Patch
Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying "Why did they killswitch Eyrie?" it should be killswitched if there's a bug of course. The thing I'm pointing is why don't they use this mechanic equally? And please, do not even mention "They killswitched 3 killers". Of course they did. Killers have their own special powers which can be bugged just for that spesific character unlike the survivors, so it's not much of a surprise.

MS also affected the team as a whole, while IS only affected the survivor who had it. So I'd argue survivors were far worse off ultimately. And my issue isn't that EoC is killswitched - it absolutely should have been, it's the right call. But there's an inconsistency here.

This is not exclusive to survivors.
They didn’t kill switch Red Forest when it could spawn fat shaming spots and they didn’t kill switch Temple when there was a spot that made it possible to hold certain killers like Freddy hostage. Or Ormond when you could climb up the rock.
Yes Merciless Storm should’ve been kill switched, but they also should’ve kill switched Red Forest so this isn’t a case of killer favouritism, it’s just a case of incompetent devs.

Yeah, no consistency. Hopefully that changes soon.

Twins would like a word with you.

it could be the fact that if you go there and make the fog thicker it becomes a wall of smoke that you can walk through but not see through.

They were kill switched because their glitches adversely affected their own gameplay. The point is that bugs that harm killers in some way are swiftly killswitched (rightfully) but those that harm survivors usually aren’t. And like it or not, that’s a trend.

I think the twins bug they're referring to is the recent one where swapping to/from Victor could soft lock the game for the killer. They couldn't move or interact with anything and just had to wait for survivors to finish gens and leave.
It was actually bugged for over 2 months without a kill switch. It was long enough that there was a mid chapter patch during that time that didn't address the issue at all, and it was still a problem.
Weirdly, it was the same kind of issue that they did kill switch nurse for about a year ago, and nurse was out for about 6 weeks.
I don't disagree that BHVR's use of the kill switch is, at best, inconsistent, and at times eyebrow raising. But they really did all 5 of the twins mains dirty when this was a thing and it should've been kill switched, but wasn't.

Twins were not kill switched even though that was a game breaking bug. That is exactly what the kill switch was added for.
Also, as others have stated this is NOT a trend. They are very inconsistent with the kill switch but that's about it. They didn't kills switch all the maps that had fat shaming spots on them (for several weeks btw) but they did kill switch Dredge when it was bugged.

Here's more stats I've collected from Patch Notes about notable killer power bugs;
Clown: 7 Days of Abuse & Killswitch (Infinite Speed Boost via Afterpiece Tonic)
Knight: 50 Days of Abuse, waited for Patch (Grabbing, breaking, damaging from distance)
Dredge: 3 Days of Abuse & Killswitch (Invisibility)
Spirit: 29 Days of Abuse, waited for Patch (Non-Directional Phase Sound)
Spirit: +9 Days of Abuse (Since May 3), waiting for Patch (Broken FOV, can see through walls)
Nurse: 5 Days of Suffer & Killswitch (Grab Animation Stuck)
Twins: 56 Days of Suffer, waited for Patch (All the Bugs around Victor)
