Anybody seen Blood Rush in their games?
Iirc this Perk was talked about to be meta, the new problematic Perk, overpowered with Sprint Burst, etc.
Yet I haven't seen a single Survivor use it...

I literally had to google what it did because I forgot it existed lmao... but ig it's a good example of how some people always cry that everything their opponent get is OP and will break the meta and needs a nerf until it actually goes live and oh surprise when people are actually playing the game instead of playing out very hypothetical scenarios with a swf & killer's help it's not that good 🤷♀️

I had it used against me yesterday and the heal triggered while I was lunging (and so I hit them a split second too late). Unlucky.
I haven’t seen it much though and I will admit I was part of the group that thought it would be overpowered during the PTB. It really isn’t and I’m glad I was wrong.

I think people in the PTB saw that double use of an exhaustion Perk in a chase is insane, so that's why it was so overhyped, but then you actually start reading more into that Perk, and it's condition after condition and nobody likes those Perks lol, so another reason nobody runs it I guess.

Yeah, in PTB people always try the wildest scenarios where everything works out but in a live game it's too complicated to be worth it tbh

I think I've seen it exactly once, I only noticed because someone went from Healthy to Broken then Healthy again and I couldn't figure out what the hell happened there.
Turns out they used Blood Rush because it was the end of the game and a reason to use it naturally hadn't come up, lol.

This perk is garbage. Only works on your last hook state. You have to give health state for activate it and your reward is resetting exhaustion. Meh.
BHVR should try better for anti-tunnel perk. Oh wait, we already got one before: DS. It was amazing perk before nerf.

it has too many restrictions for survivor to use it. the big two restrictions are:
1) it requires to be healthy to use it
2) you need to be on death hook to use it.
If a killer is tunneling you off hook, the only way you can use this perk is with red syringe. I think if they removed healthy condition and just made the perk cleanse exhaustion & make the perk not require death hook but instead activate whenever you are unhooked like Dead hard. SB+Bloodrush would be complete meta. The perk is over-balanced to make sure it does not get out of hand. You can see that by the perk also having once per trial condition on top of all these other restrictions.

The only time i see it is when people do their adept.
Simular to Overcome with was another perk everybody was going crazy about. Some people still think it's good while nobody uses it cause it's absolutely terrible.
This community is horrible at judging how strong a perk is. They only want to see the best possible case scenario instead of realistically looking at how it would play out

After 7 games of trying to use it and never got a chance I gave up. I dont see none running renato or thalita perks lmao. They all garbage or needs other perks to make them work lmao. Least the chars was well designed not counting ugly freddy kruger wife aka the brain dead mechant and her walking style am even gonna say what she walks like LOL.

I don't think I ever saw it. I remember Otz making a video and talking about how "insane" it is.
2 -
I remember people were complaining about this perk being busted and no one uses it😂😂

Blood Rush is the new Deliverance
And by that I mean it's a perk that when you bring it, the game will cosmically create situations where you simply can't use it. You either don't make it to death hook or you're tunnelled from your first hook and in both situations this perk will never go off
I just did the blood rush tome challenge by bringing inner strength and cleasing 2 totems lol

Tru1talent killer main and his killer chat was throwing so much tantrums about it lmao. Wonder how the feel atm seeing how exaggerating there was.

People over reacted to a new perk before releasing to live servers? Surely not in my DbD.
In all seriousness though it's just not a good perk. It was always too situational to ever be good. Are there some edge cases where it could come in clutch? Sure but more often than not it will be useless.
6 -
Oh is this how you use it? 💀 I had it equipped with no clue how to trigger it lol. It seems awfully restrictive

Its trash. It's so situational and niche it takes effort to get it to kick in properly.
BHVR is terrified of actually giving survivors decent perks. I will let you figure out why that is.

There is a challenge in the tome for it.

Just goes to show how limited my knowledge of this chapter is; at first I thought you'd misspelt Bloodlust!!

Happens haha

I mean, they tried giving Survivors something neat with Boons, but then they created a whole new ######### meta out of it, which I think they fear to do now.

I've seen some youtubers use it.

Well rn they are complaining about ds being strong so🤷♂️ you know the usual

it just another perk that was gas up on release like fog wise.

I said as much when everyone was carrying on about it lol people who play very little survivor, or not at all, aren't the best judges when it comes to what will be popular. It was the same with Fogwise. People were losing their minds over that one too.

I think the reason you aren't seeing it much is because the playstyle of most killers currently is to tunnel or camp or maybe even both, which means once the survivor is saved and in 2nd stage of hook phase where they would usually be able to get healed or heal themselves in order to use the perk isn't possible. This is because once they get off that hook the killer is immediately back on them and doesnt give them a chance to heal and make any use of the perk. So thats most likely why you aren't seeing it happen as often.
1 -
Very true. And tbh I hardly see Fogwise.
1 -
I've seen it a few times, yes. I don't mind it so much since it's once a game.

Why take a late game value perk other than adrenaline though? Blood rush isn't weak by any means but adrenaline is stronger and more consistent in value. Getting hit off of hook makes blood rush lose a lot of value, it's why otr is underused. I don't think getting hit straight off hook every game happens as often as people on the forum make it out to be, but it happening twice in a row or not getting tunneled that game can make it seem like the perk is worthless. OTR, DS and dh is still one of the strongest builds in the game atm, but it relies on the killer playing a certain way.

I used it when I was playing Renato it was neat, but I only got it to work a couple of times. Haven't really touched it since I got Renato to p6 though

I agree with all the other comments about it being too situational to warrant using over other perks. There are so many other perks that provide utility all-game long regardless of the conditions.

There's a bit of an issue with a lot of killer players in that they're quite short-sighted. They see some kind of outcome and disregard anything leading up to it. Blood Rush costs two hook states and a heal to use, but that just got overlooked.
