The last few months with the stale meta and killers that were released.

I hope the anniversary can bring some cool stuff:

  • I hope the killer is enjoyable for both sides
  • We get a roadmap for new features coming
  • Buffs to bad Killers and perks to shake up the meta in a fun way
  • For new perks to not be so controlled, this new perks have so many restrictions and conditions that makes them not fun to use

The game is balanced well enough right now, but it needs some shake up to give players new things to do and get good at. Holding W and using the same perks because the new ones are underwhelming

For the love of the entity, just don't let it be another killer like Dredge, Artist, Knight and SM that forces survivors to Shift + W away. I don't care, if it's licensed or not. I just want another killer that I would be excited to play and hopefully some interesting new perks on both sides. You did such a great job with Wesker, so obviously you are still capable of creating good killers.

Also, please don't add a new map or rework a map before you fired the guys, that came up with the new Red Forest maps. I'm trying to be sympathetic here but even someone that doesn't play the game would see how ridiculous these maps are. You took all the worst qualities of these maps and dialed them up to ungodly levels of atrociousness.

A roadmap would be nice as well, because honestly with the last 2 chapters being big disappointments for a lot of players it is kind of hard to still be excited about the game. The balance changes are good but they won't keep players engaged for long as long as the core problems still remain.

I've almost given up hope, that we'll ever see the buffs that some killers have needed for years but obviously I'd still like to see them. Freddy, Trapper, Myers, Sadako etc. all could use some buffs and other killers like the Hillbilly need a few QoL improvements (overheat change was great but only one of his many, many, MANY issues). There are also several perks on both sides that should be looked at. Call of Brine is so bad after its nerf that I don't see how anyone would run it and then there are perks like Self-Care (that poor baby Claudette is never gonna get fully healed).

As long as the new chapter is something we’ve never seen or expected (in a good way) I’ll be glad.

The problem with newer perks having soo many conditions is that there's barely any room left for unique ones. What I mean by that is that you can only do a healing buff perk so many times.

What the game needs right now in my opinion ofc is that it expands on the gameplay. I know the playstyle has been pretty solid since the game first came out, but we need some new objectives or forms of interacting with survivors, killers or map in general.

I'm saying this as just a fan and I know it's not a simple task. But sooner or later there'll be no mechanics to build upon. Or there will be but super limited like the perks you mentioned. One game, that yes isn't connected at all to DbD, is League of Legends. I'm writing it down as an example because the game still has the same gameplay formula and goal since it was released, BUT it really expanded on the gameplay in a lot of ways throughout the years. Adding more depth and skill exploration.

I don’t agree at all with the meta being “stale” right now. The last few patches have enormously shaken up the meta. Killers don’t camp three-gens nearly as much, and I hardly ever see DH on survivors anymore.
