A Bit Too Much Pessimism (IMO)...
Not a lot was revealed during the Anniversary... I know to a lot of people it was disappointing to watch...
But hear me out on this one, the developers said that more developer streams are going to happen, and that they plan to be more vocal with the community, IF this is true, it is more likely that we will receive information on more important things when we get closer to such time.
Think about this realistically, compared the information we got in this Anniversary Stream to any other Anniversary Stream we have had? We had a lot of major reveals and a ton of other stuff (and a lot of codes to use), but this stream we only had a few major reveals as well as the "big reveal" at the end was already known since BHVR tweeted it out anyways (and only 2 codes D: ).
I personally think that not everything is as it seems, something is brewing in BHVR's studios, they just cant or wont reveal it just yet. :v

I really don't see why we should care. It's the usual corporate lingo of empty words to fill out the air time.
At best we'll get one or two streams where every question will be answered in one of two ways, like it always has been.
1) That feature is not currently worked on, its later down the pipeline
2) No, that feature is never coming.
Then they'll stop doing it again like they did before.
It just feels like BHVR has absolutely no idea what to do with the main game anymore besides securing big name licenses to inflate interest. Maybe it's just that last year was big with major reveals, but this anniversary livestream felt like a big bag filled with nothing but air.

Yeah, it felt like instead of one massive stream for the year it's now going to be broken up into smaller ones. We got a few updates this past year that were never on the roadmap/schedule. It's probably easier for them to maybe reassess every few months just what changes might be needed asap, as opposed to trying to predict them months to a year in advance. One thing i learned quickly is this community is crazy impatient, so they're smart for not promising too much upfront but instead making changes as they see fit along the way.

This is really important. Because if they talk about something, they have to make super-clear that it might be scrapped in the future. But people in the DBD-Community dont comprehend it that way. If something is written somewhere, it will 100% be released and some even think it would happen in the next patch.
I can totally understand why they dont announce everything anymore and some things get added as a surprise.

Then their stream was unclear...
They only showed this image breifly, with parts of it blacked out, and they even made some comment like "you may see that there are some survivor-only chapters and that's because we're bringing in two licensed killers this year."
Either I misheard or they misspoke. Either way, that was the impression I got.
