Universal Survivor Perk to Combat Killers Hitting on Hook

Having a future update to help combat the face camping will be nice, depending on how well it's implemented, but I wish there was a universal perk open to all survivors that would do something to the killers who hook and continuously hit you on hook for no apparent reason. Survivors have no recourse in situations like these since they can't do anything but sit there, and killers just are doing this because they can or just out of spite because they're being outplayed.

What I'd like to see is a perk that any survivor could use that inflicts a penalty on the killer for M1-ing a person on hook. Since M1-ing a person on hook doesn't do anything for either party involved, it's mainly done as a taunt or flex which seems unfair for the survivor since they can't do anything back. Call it Retaliation.

What I'd propose is a perk (so it's up to the survivor if they would want to equip it... kind of like taking a chance with Unbreakable), that would freeze the killer in place mid-swipe (poisoned, if you will) for a set amount of time (10, 15, 20 seconds) and then notify all survivors that the killer is frozen with a sound notification/colored aura. That would give other survivors a chance to come in and get the save but they would also have to time it right because the survivor wouldn't know the duration of the freeze. This perk would either come with a cooldown, or maybe be a one-time-use only perk (like Deliverance). This would be an optional aid to the face camping mechanic that's coming as well as possibly be a deterrent to such actions.

The biggest issue I could see with it would be 'accidental' hits if the killer is chasing a survivor trying to come in for the save and the killer hits them and the hooked survivor at the same time. But even in that instance, if it's a one time use perk, then that wouldn't be terribly unfair to the killer.

I just feel that since there are limited emotes in the game for survivors to retort, that this could be a way for them to choose to get back at individuals with a penalty of their own choosing (if they decide to equip it).

If the killer is hitting you on hook.. you will still have your meter build up because they are close

    No.

    1. This would be broken if a Survivor used the hooked Survivor to freeze the killer; it would allow for a free escape.
    2. Or the times the Killer goes for a grab/hit, and wonky hitboxes make him hit the Survivor on the hook instead. Once again allowing for a free escape.
    3. There are times I smack Survivors because the Survivor they are using has a painfully high scream and, as an autist, I am sensitive to it. It physically hurts me to hear the scream, so I cut it off by smacking them.

This idea is nothing but 'I don't like [x]. Let's punish the Killer for doing what I don't like'.

I hit you on the hook to stop you from screaming in my ears.

Killers hitting survivors on the hook is the same thing as survivors staying in-game just to teabagging the killer at the exit gates. It's childish, obnoxious, and bad manners. It's a pretty good way to broadcast that you are a bad winner.

And while it would be GREAT if there were actual repercussions to such bad manners or even some way of disabling such things, it's not going to stop while THOSE kinds of players get enjoyment from it.

The best thing you can do is not be one of those kinds of people yourself.

sometimes hitting in hook is just to stop the loud and annoying screams of the "female characters", but it now it's hitting the hook all the time without stopping, then the killer is trying to provoke you.

YOu can actually use this against the killer if someone comes for a save if someone is hitting you on hook someone can save you during the weapon wipe animation.

Also as survivor you can bait the kille rinto hitting you at the hook an auto aim can actually push the killer into hitting the person on the hook allowing for someone to make the save

This is annoying from both sides just be easier to make it the killer weapon has no collision with person on hook
