Haddie... not welcome?
im not sure about that but i've heard Haddie is a very disliked survivor but why? her story? her look? why is she disliked? i personally didnt notice any difference in my games when i play her sometimes. the killers or survivors in my lobbies are the same as always... but actually while writing it reminded me of someone who once said "ehhw a haddie" that was the only time i got a stupid comment about her.
so... whats the problem with haddie just curious 😅

I don't think she's particularly disliked as much she's just not liked very much. Most players don't care about lore much (especially survivors') and when she came out a lot of people made it clear they didn't like her design bc she looks ugly / old / weird / boring or whatever, so people don't really care about her.

The 'Haddie hive mind' on twitter have turned some people against her but other than that it's simply because a lot of people didn't like her character model and made a bigger deal about it than neccessary.

And those type of ppl definitely causes me to turn off from her. Its great that she beginning to get more cosmetics. But even then, she's still a rare sight to see which is odd. Loud minority on dbdtwt but in the game, they arent even playing her much still.

Idk, I like Haddie's look. I feel it's unique. I don't play her that often cause I have survivors I like better for whatever reason (mostly what they represent) that I feel bad neglecting them. But I like Haddie, her cosmetics are a bit ######### though (same with Yui's). SHe's cool, if I could compete in the cosmetics contest I would submit a Detective Haddie cosmetic inspired by old Hollywood noir movies or something. She'd be very cool.

The Haddie Hive Mind is the reason the teams cosmetics department have expanded and are able to give more skins to other ignored characters as well it's insane

I can't speak on behalf of others, but i hate Haddie solely because we got the inferior version of Haddie and not the Tome version of Haddie who's the superior Haddie in every way.

I really don't care about lore. So even she is " amazing " character in DbD lore, this won't change anything for me.
I am not playing her because she is not beautiful.

i find her really ugly and going from cheryl, to jill and leon to then haddie in anniversary chapters was such a downgrade. Not to mention her fans are annoying trying to prop her up every chance they get. The cosmetics can be garbage but since its haddie people think its “slays” like her last outfit.

I can only speak for what I've personally seen and it has been a range from people just generally not feeling her aesthetic/looks to people just being real racist. Though the racism related stuff is real rare to see unless you're like me and very terminally online and spend too much time really digging through dbdtwit. I rarely see her played when I do play and I would put it up to people just generally flocking to licensed survivors more and generally just not being in the mood level another survivor with relatively low cosmetic support.

I don't mind haddie herself that much, she's okay. I just find myself not caring about most of the survivor roster, since I don't play survivor. I think her model looks kinda bad though and needs a touchup. Other than that she's fine, to me she's just kinda there along with most of the survivor roster if I'm being honest.
Also haddie fans or the "haddie hive mind" are probably the most annoying people in the community, I'm sure that's what steers a lot of people away from liking her along with other issues.

Between some of her more...passionate fans and her kinda meh appearance, I just don't really care for her.

Don't play female survivors myself, don't mind the look though. I welcome the different body builds and facial appearance's though, every character doesn't have to be a super model barbie.

I don't mind Haddie much, but I'm not a fan of her aesthetic. I don't think she looks ugly but I think the "hair turned white from stress" detail is corny and her default clothing is tacky, and most of her cosmetic options are even worse. Her new outfit with the mountain gear looks much better, though. Too bad I can't afford pricey cosmetics.
I like her more than Feng and Mikaela, at least.

When Nea came out it was a joke that she was the Entity because she was a little difficult to look at lol. Probably same thing with Haddie. When leaks released a pic of her and Dredge, I had to ask which one the killer was lol (just based on the images we had).
They’ve both had qol changes since so perhaps the jokes are from their original release times.

I can count the times I've had a Haddie in my lobby and it's shocking how they have been useless 100% of the time. For supposedly such an important character in the lore it's amazing how insignificant she has been.
