What killer did you ignore for years, and then discovered you loved
Through the years I have played mostly Wraith, Dredge and Pig. I will try each killer once or twice, and if I hate them I would just use BP from other killers to get their perks.
Artist was definitely in the same bucket. I decided after two matches that she was just an inferior projectile killer, and left her alone.
A few days ago, I picked her up again - and was amazed at the zoning, information potential, and antiloop capability she brings. I realized - which I did not the first time - that her birds serve several functions. I have been having a blast learning how to predict survivor movement and hit snipe shots.
What killers have you given a second chance after writing them off years ago?

Hillbilly 3 weeks before his nerf.
I'm glad i choose to play his nonshit version before his addons & basekit became crap.

Myers.
I make it a policy to spend as little as possible on live games, so licensed characters are usually a no unless I bought them as part of a deal when I got the base game. Well, years later, the devs gave me what I’ve been wanting for a long time and released an Afro for Claudette. Naturally, I had to buy some auric cells and get it! Well, I had some cells left over and got Myers!
I played him a few times and even with the iridescent add-ons I thought he was boring so he collected dust for a while. Then I went against “Scratched Mirror” and tried it out for myself and was hooked. The most fun I’ve had in this game regardless of role. It’s so fun to scare people and see their reactions. I wish they’d give Ghostie a new add-on that does the same for him.

Nurse. Tried her once then said "ah, not worth it". Then returned and suffered the same experience only to realise that a special ultra-rare add-on actually takes away the 2nd Blink. With that out of the picture and another added instead that shows the landing location the learning experience there and I was happy to make progress.
I retained Trapper for various challenges only but I decided to try and win the games and managed to do it. I remember keeping them (especially Nurse) at a very low prestige but decided to increase their level.
I can also concur with what you said re the Artist. Lost many matches but using your crows to put survivors into the dying state is a very rewarding experience.

Huntress, first time I played her, I got absolutely crapped on by survivors, and I was like “never again”. But after giving her a second chance for a tome challenge, I can now say that she’s not as bad as I thought she was

Unpopular take but Tombstone Piece Myers (purple addon). I really like the use of Ruin and PWYF on this killer. Survivors are actually scared of instant death, not just getting hooked. Not TR is also very fun, and managing stalk.
Also if I lose I am like "meh, it’s Myers that’s fine".

Hillbilly. It took me almost 2 years to gather the courage to really try him. Now I'm in this abusive relationship where I love and hate him at the same time.
Edit: This describes it perfectly

Demogorgon. Never watched ST and didn't care for the design and gameplay. Mained it for months afterwards and still love to give it a spin every now and again.

Doctor, kinda. Not much though.

Onryō
She’s a creepy-cool, fun n spooky grrl who, if you know how to play her properly, can be superr stressful to go up against.
Luvv facing her just as much as playing her💜
Shouldn't have listened to all the complaints about her.
