Thoughts on bamboozle?
I find this to easily be the most annoying / boring perk to play against as depending on map rng it can take away your only means of delaying hits for half the map. It doesn’t feel like it promotes healthy interactions imo.

I can definitely see how it could be annoying but there are also quite a few m1 killers that kind of need it in order to stand a chance at some tiles without having to chase the survivor until it is entity blocked. Unfortunately, it seems to be a necessary evil until maps are reworked, and loops are more fair for both sides.

Bamboozle is a band-aid on a terrible map design. On some maps even bamboozle doesn't allow to counter some braindead RNG, window in front of window nearby window. So yeah, you can just say "I want to abuse all broken things on maps, but this perk prevents me." instead of "It doesn’t feel like it promotes healthy interaction".

I think the perk is fine, I just dislike it's design.
It promotes some really boring gameplay, imo. Turns a loop like a T-L where it's really down to the individual players skill into a death trap.

This perk is key for any non-chase power killers. It is important perk. It feels very bad on some maps play it without this perk.

Whenever I try running it I find it not very useful. Sometimes in comes in clutch, but overall I think I'd rather have perks I get more consistent use out of.

Makes the killer predictable. You expect the vault so just hold - w.

I think it shouldn't work on tall windows
If you don't understand what I mean

ah, the classic response of saying that they just "want to abuse broken things on maps" when this was never ever mentioned and you just made it up in your head because you already came to the conclusion in your own head that this person is unreasonable for disliking going against bamboozle. i can tell this thread is going to continue to get a lot of emotional reactions from killer players, and i'm going to go get my popcorn.

The perk is fine, makes some tiles much easier for killer. It does not need a nerf though.

Nothing wrong with it but I can understand how people dislike it. Though often you can take advantage of the fact someone is running it, as they tend to go for a vault over other options and you can exploit this tendency

Yeah I don’t understand where he got that from at all. I literally mentioned in my post that it depends on map rng. There are seeds that spawn where the only thing you have is a TL wall for 40+ meters and if they bamboozle it you just die

That’s just not at all what I said thanks for projecting onto me though.

Agree with this. Until broken maps and loops get addressed, Bamboozle is a required perk for certain killers who would otherwise have an incredibly difficult time hitting survivors on maps that have strong tiles strung closely together

Understandable but I was under the impression most people strongly disliked hold W gameplay and this perk promotes it more than any other in the game imo

I much prefer “hold W” and eventually be able to hit/down a survivor than “I will never catch you because you have three broken tiles strung together creating a virtual infinite loop”

Totally get that. There are definitely still maps like Cowshed and Suffocation Pit where you can get some nasty rng spawns for window chains, but in my experience those are more rare than common. I run Windows of Opportunity every game and the amount of times I’ll see entire areas where theres nothing but a set of windows to run to is rather common.

rare for you as a survivor maybe. but I get them often enough in my killer experience to call a common occurrence.
