Wraith
This killer went from B tier at most to A or even S tier, he was already really good considering how easy it is to do good with him.
He has great map mobility, he can get hits extremely easy, and in the current meta where every Wraith uses sloppy because healing got nerfed and also the removal of lightburn which made him so much better than he already was he feels overpowered considering he has no skill ceiling to do as good as a Nurse or a Blight which feels unfair.

He is honestly way better than people give him credit for, catches you off guard and guarantees a hit nearly every single time.
He is basically a spirit with no cooldown + if survivors are in a situation where there is no pallet to immediately drop you are just going to get hit.

Yeah, it takes no skill to do good with him and that's why he has such a good pickrate, he destroys soloq with ease or survivors that are not really good and on comp.

He is NOT S-tier.
He's good, just not that good.
18 -
He is better than he should ever be considering it takes so little skill to use his power efficiently.
5 -
He's definitely stronger than some people realize, but S tier is a huge stretch. Unlike the other killers in S tier, he has counterplay.
5 -
Lol. He’s C tier at best against survivors who know how to watch out for his shimmer, run before he uncloaks and know how to loop. Windows and vaults hard counter him.
Against Solo he’s B+ tier only because solo players are bad.
5 -
Agreed. I don't think he's S-tier in the slightest, but caught in the wrong area and off guard, it can feel pretty unfair to go down to him.

High B at best.
He’s ultimately still an M1 killer.

Wraith can go up all the way to B-tier with the right perks and addons. Against inexperienced survivors he is definitely a force to be reckoned with. But survivors that watch out for him, don't get caught off guard and most importantly loop him like the M1 killer he is Wraith struggles hard.
He is a bit like Freddy. Survivors that make mistakes against him go down left and right. But good players will reduce him to a M1 killer with a bit of mobility.
In no way is Wraith overpowered though. Getting rolled by Wraith almost always comes down to a skill issue. He is harder to play against than he is to play but there are also killers that have the exact opposite issue and that is mostly accepted as just the way it is, so I really don't see why this should be a problem.

Hmmmmm.
An interesting argument.
I think he has an appropriate level of strength. He's not really that good, it just so happens that the meta we find ourselves in benefits him immensely.
3 -
Wraith is B tier, he just feels like A tier because of the current meta. If the meta shifts again and hit and run is back to being unreliable Wraith would suffer greatly from it, while actual A tier killers would probably be fine (and S tier killers dominate the meta anyways).
Absolutely agree about him "feeling unfair" though, I don't like going against him one bit.
3 -
Okay, Wraith can be good, definitely. But calling him S-tier? No. Absolutely not. He is nothing compared to Blight or Nurse or even Spirit.
First off, when you're in a loop, he's an M1 killer with no power. Yes, he can sneak up on people but not only is this difficult on some maps (try sneaking up on someone in Borgo) but he'll also have to contend with the likes of Sprint Burst that exist to get people out of hairy situations such as those.
Second, yes, he is a hit-and-run specialist. However, if survivors have the tools to counter this such as good medkits, healing perks, etc, that pressure can evaporate very fast.
Third, he'll still have to contend with survivor defenses. Beyond eating pallets, he'll have to deal with things like base BT/OtR that hampers his ability to tunnel, Camping is about to get nerfed, so he has to gamble it all on his ability to get hits and keep people injured. Except, for doing that, all he has is stealth.
He can be good, really, he can. But does that compare to a killer that can literally down you in twelve seconds, the fastest killer in the game, or a killer whose entire power is complete invisibility without needing to uncloak/fatigue? No. No, it does not.

I love the spot Wraith is in now. All his add-ons are useful to some degree, and a lot of them a really good (some maybe even arguable OP). His power promotes the most fun elements of the game: stealth/surprise attacks, active chases and mind games at loops. When hit and run was a nearly useless tactic because of fast medkit heals and unlimited CoH self-care, he was much less viable, but in a great place now with recent changes.

People complain about Killers being too strong and requiring little skill
People complain about Killers who take far more skill also being too strong
What exactly do y'all want from killers? This is a serious question because I'm at a loss as to what the problem even really is anymore? So what is the actual things you are expecting to see when you play DBD?

Wraith main here since 2017. After many years of suffering, Wraith is now in a very good spot. But he is definitely NOT an S-Tier.
You say it's easy to play him? Well, he requires little mechanical skill compared to Nurse, Blight or Billy. But still, he's not a killer to play braindead. Most Wraiths I meet make a lot of mistakes or just don't play with the most effective tools. I notice this with content creators who play Wraith a lot. If you think you can beat any decent team with Hit&Run only, you unfortunately have little experience. Even as a Wraith you have to adapt to your situation and to your opponents and remain flexible in terms of your strategies.
My question now is: If Wraith is so easy to play and still at S-Tier level, why do I only encounter non-stop Whiskas, Blight, Whiskas, Tunneltress, Nurse, Whiskas, Camptress, Whiskas and Whiskas? If you play with inexperienced players in the Solo Q and you have little experience yourself, then every D-tier killer will overwhelm you. Just saying.
Highly confirmed.

Wraith absolutely thrives in this meta and destroys solo queue players. I’d argue he’s easily the best stealth killer in the game and when using certain builds and add ons there’s very little chance for counterplay (especially when playing solo).
Most wraiths I play run sloppy, brutal strength, bamboozle and a gen regress perk with his shadow dance add on so he can break pallets in half a second. During mid to late game he can make over half the map a dead zone because bamboozle just requires you to throw pallets against him.
I wouldn’t say he’s S tier, I think that’s reserved for Nurse, Blight and Spirit but depending on the map he can 100% be high A tier.

I love Wraith. He was my original main. Unfortunately he's B tier at best. Against a solid team he will struggle.
1 -
Most teams in dbd are not solid.
2 -
I'd say him losing Lightburn moved him up to B-tier. But he kinda has the same problem as Legion; he gets the first hit on survivors effortlessly, but will typically struggle to finish the job and get downs due to a poor chase power.
He's definitely a solo queue killer right now, but the moment survivors work together, he loses a lot of his power and becomes somewhat predictable.

And most killer players aren't very good. My point remains. Wraith as much as I love him isn't a strong killer.

How to tell at what level someone is playing, the thread.

A lot want a killer that takes skill to be bad.
People just forget that a lot of power of a killer comes from the dedication of the player.
For example, i am not a very good killer player. I suck with most killers.
However, with my mainkiller i win often enough, because i know his ins and outs, and thus, i play him way better than any other killer. And thus can be true for any killer.

Thats why prople love billy, he takes unbeliavable skill, yet a decent survivor will always come out on top in chase, effectively making it so that you do not worry if its a good billy, as long as you are good you are safe in chase.

Wraith is only “good” when he comes right back to an unhook to punish the savior, or simply tunnel the unhooked. Especially when all the resources around the hooked person are gone. Which is what 90% of them will do.
If a team can halfway loop they will definitely beat Wraith.

Play against a competent SWF and you'll quickly realize his weaknesses. Sure, he's a solo stomper, but so are many other Killers.

Sounds pretty unbalanced when a lone skilled survivor can regularly come out on top of a skilled killer.

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣.
I have no idea where the notion that wraith is A tier or even S tier came from, but I can't take it seriously.
Blight is S tier and directly comparable to nurse because his add-ons increase his strength by such an absurd amount. Wraith is not anything close to alch ring or c33 blight. There is no scenario where he is better than base-kit nurse. That's just S tier though.
Compare him to wesker or spirit and he still falls far below them in terms of consistency and power level.
