Toolboxes are not Problem! They are Balanced! ( S )

And imagine that, what if they had PTB version Scavenger. I know this is not something you are seeing every game but this is good video to show how strong toolboxes are. That's why i am hoping rework for them.
Gen times are okay but we should not have anything which affect gen speeds. I don't think this is healthy design.

I mean these are some of the best players consistently bringing the best stuff, it's not really representative of a regular lobby. You don't often get lobbies with this many Brand New Parts, and especially not with these kinds of players. A lot of lobbies with stacked BNP I end up winning because the players are just not that good.
Brand New Parts could do with a nerf/rework but I don't think an edge case like this is worth gutting every single gen speed unlockable in the game over.

So what’s the point in complaining about it? We all know that comp teams will destroy in public matches and when you bring 4 gen perks you do gens fast. There’s nothing shocking about this. You can’t use extreme outliers as an example for something not being balanced.

To be fair, that video shows how strong a comp 4man swf with gen perks AND toolboxes can be, not toolboxes on their own.
Also, You rarely get teams like this.

I think they were nerfed because they were a "monster at high MMR", not because any 1 particular video/streamer. That being said, I'm pretty sure 1 person averaging a 3k may be enough to skew the stats for all 6 Twins players out there...

Yes but we all know "monster at high MMR" meant someone in particular and was nerfed accordingly. Obviously this won't be admitted but the timing was no coincidence.

Just because something is rare, it doesn't invalidate it as an issue. I could say the exact same for pub stomper Blight mains, why complain about them if they are rare lmao?

Haven't you heard? High MMR lobbies are only esports players with 50k hours each. The gens are all done in 15 seconds and killers can't get a single hook.

I get what you’re saying but my point is more so that balance decisions shouldn’t revolve around the top 1% of players. There’s a reason that competitive DbD never took off, the game is not supposed to be played like they did in this video. Even without the gen perks and add ons they brought in these games it would change nothing about the result. People would just find another thing to complain about, it’s a never ending cycle. There’s a streamer that’s currently on a 200+ win streak with Sadako, doesn’t mean she’s strong it’s just that people with 8000+ hours that sweat their ass off are going to win everytime in public lobbies. Goes the same way both sides.

But this is absolutely not true. Of course, you probably won't meet survivors at THAT level and with THAT speed, but a medium-level SWF is enough, with the right perk and the generators are repaired in less than 30 seconds
The point is not a single team, the point is, fixing a generator in 30 seconds shouldn't be possible

i did say that toolbox is most powerful item that survivor can bring and I said this even in the era of med-kits. Scavenger would not make difference because the perk require to land 5 skill-checks. Just look at top side of the video at 2:09. The generator are done in 2:52 seconds. You won't hit 5 skill-checks in a game that is this fast. You do not need Scavenger to Gen-rush the killer.

The biggest issue like with medkits and the healing Meta is there was no cap to how fast you could do said action. That would of been a better Nerf than what they did with medkits.
You can't go over X%. That would control how op each meta is without doing a major Nerf to it.

True but the problem is how they will tell this to players. I mean let's say i am player who is not checking DbD social media. And i just used 4 gen perks together. And because of cap i did not get value from my all perks. And i did not even notice it.

Probably the usual how they update us with Dev Streams or related patch note etc....or heckwait til they announce it and the Forums will blow up with Don't Nerf our Tool boxes or something similar with other players saying this is a needed change.....or a random troll accounts trying to start trouble

Just leave the items alone before everything becomes homogenized and extremely boring. Medkits already got homogenized and are boring now. I don't even use them.
Even when I bring those items (bnp, c toolbox) almost every match in solo q, things still go south and killer gets 4k, sometimes they let me escape or I get the hatch.
It's only game breaking in sweaty squads, but then again they'll ALWAYS find a way to play sweaty and such.

Yet people say that the blight with 1k wins is evidence that blight needs to be nerfed. You can't have it both ways. Also, just because something is rare doesn't mean it isn't a problem. Here is otzdarva saying that exact thing.

To those who said that toolboxes shouldn't be looked at bc you won't go against teams like in that video every lobby. By your logic then nurse and blight shouldn't be nerfed either since they have some of the lowest pick rates among all the killers across all mmr levels. Who cares nurse and blight are extremely strong and barely beatable? So little ppl play them on average and you won't see them in every lobby.
Yes you right you not going to see setups like that in the video but the potential is there and if something is op/broken it needs to be addressed even if you not going to see it all that often.

Because you keep playing this game where you pick and choose things. I think this game should be balanced around what the best of the best players can do. I think the reality and the data show clearly that the only 2 killers that can compete against the top teams are blight and nurse. And BECAUSE of that. There is an obvious massive problem with how "powerful" survivors are. Because there are 32 killers and only 2 of them are viable at that level of play. So obviously something needs to be done about survivors before we can worry about nerfing blight and nurse.

Nah, it actually kinda does, because if something is rare because it's too difficult to do or rare for a good reason, then balancing around it isn't good. If you have to nerf something good, then you also need to make it easier to use or more consistent. High/medium skill for low reward is never good, despite people crying about "balance" (aka you and this community) potentially arguing otherwise.
And of course, nerfing everything good so it falls "nice and in-line with other perks/add-ons, etc" is the bane of design since that makes everything stale, and every player who believes this is good is unironically not good at the game and only plays weak Killers with bad perks and bad add-ons, then complains when they can't easily and consistently handle meta with their awful strategies and builds.

I don't remember saying Blight needs to be nerfed in that post. I don't remember mentioning Blight at all, actually. You're assuming that because other people have a certain opinion, that I automatically agree with it.
In fact, Blight is generally fine. He has some overpowered addons, which need to be toned down, but he does not need to be nerfed at a base level. Same with toolboxes, they don't need to be gutted at the base level, but Brand New Parts could do with a rework of some kind.
You make a disingenuous argument and then quote a content creator at me like he's automatically right about everything. Sums up the forums quite well honestly.
