Tome cosmetics
I've recently been a bit saddened by the fact tome cosmetics eventually end up in store. For me I feel like tome cosmetics should be exclusive as you've bought the rift pass and worked to earn the cosmetics.
I wouldn't mind like a Tome Rewind event where old tome cosmetics come back into store for a limited time.
This would not only make it feel better that you have still earned something whilst also giving a small time chance to let others get cosmetics.
EDIT: Thank you so much for all the responses to this post, I've responded to as many as I could!!

All I'm hearing is boo hoo hoo, you still paid less for more cosmetics with an excuse to play more of the game, just let other people join in the fun, they're not nfts and you lose nothing from more people being allowed access

I don't have an issue with it. You essentially get them for free in the Rift (even if you pay for premium, you can earn the cells back). When the cosmetics come to store, everyone else has to pay full price for them.

I've completed every rift, I'm very happy the cosmetics eventually end up in the store for others that were unable to get them whether it be they didn't have time to complete the rift or are new to DBD. I think they should also add the rift charms to the store, really no reason to not give players option to fill up their charm inventory with those if they want to use shards/cells on them.
If you complete the rift you get all the cosmetics for free and months before they are in the store while those buying them from the store have to wait and will have to use Iri Shards or Auric Cells. Also as a Zarina main having the rift cosmetics added to the store gives players, especially those new to DBD, more cosmetic options which encourages people to play her - the more that play her the more likely BHVR will give her more cosmetics.

I personally don't mind it. You basically 5+ outfits (Plus charms, BP, and auric cells) for 10$, which isn't that bad. Even then you can just buy the rift pass once, regain auric cells, and repeat with the regained currency. It's nice that you can go back and buy the rift cosmetics just in case you missed something.

If I remember right, the deep rift cosmetics from the last three rifts are exclusive. None of these will appear in the store.

Pay 10 dollars once and have access to cheap cosmetics whenever a tome comes out that people will have to pay full price later... I think it's fine

I think all cosmetics should come to the store personally. Plus the value for completing the rift is that you get like 5 skins ahead of everyone else for free basically. If people want to buy them later that is cool, you shouldn't lock people out of customizing thier characters for no reason.

Nobody likes exclusivity. The true value of rifts is how much cosmetics it has for a reduced price, not the exclusivity of it.
6 -
You get them earlier and for FAR cheaper all in all. Plus I believe the DEEP RIFT recolours wont end up on the store.
2 -
But you got them before, right? So you enjoyed them longer than the newcomers.

I disagree. The tome cosmetics aren't particularly hard to unlock or anything. For that matter, they refund the cost of buying the tome if you complete it so after the first 10 dollar purchase you basically get them for free. So it's not like they are really making much money off the tomes themselves. I have no problem with them monetizing the skins later on. Gives players who missed out on a tome a chance to get a skin they would like and helps justify the continued money that goes into making new tomes and cosmetics. Seems like win/win to me. If you feel less special then so be it.

I like how they end up in the store :) I don't mind getting the premium rift, it's cheap and fun to complete! If others want to buy the cosmetics then by all means, it supports the game and let's others have fun.
I'm still waiting for Feng Min's summer outfit to come to the store and that Grey one that is like a reskin of the Amazon rewards red outfit.

HELL, NO!
We already have enough exclusivity with the Prime cosmetics.

You can pay £10 for about 5-6 cosmetic sets now, or you can wait 12-24 months and buy them for about £50. Yeah, the tome is such a bad deal...

Let’s not perpetuate FoMO even more than it already is, thank you.
2 -
rift pass is basically free, so let dbd be a chill environment where everyone can get whatever cosmetic they want. they will still need to pay cells/shards for it and you got them for free.

To clarify this post was just a suggestion and for some reason there's been a lot of hate towards what I said? I didn't mean for it to come across how I think some people are taking it.
I was never intending it as a bad thing that they eventually end up in store it was more of a suggestion of a tome store cycle.
Regardless thank you for the people who responded reasonably and made good points such as people who haven't played as long getting access to skins and such.

That's fair tbh, it's not that I have an issue with it but ty for your comment :)

I definitely agree with charms tbh some of the rift ones are so cute and it saddens me that they get locked permanently for everyone.
Also side note but I love a good Zarina player!!

That's fair, I didn't really think about the pricing of things when I made this post in terms of what you're getting from the rift and what you'd have to spend otherwise.

Aye that's true, I tend to not use my deep rift stuff but some of it is really nice.

That's true it was more of a suggestion of a tome store cycle. :)

That's fair too, I'm happy for content for everyone I just think making them available on a cycle rather than full time might be nice but thank you for the feedback.

I never mentioned it was a bad deal it was more of a tome cosmetic store cycle suggestion. :)

You have the cosmetics exclusive for some time AND way cheaper than in the store. Plus you get all ACs back if you complete the Rift, so you get at least 4 unique Outfits and a bunch of Recolors for free.
And completing the Rift is not hard anymore.
Let alone it was known from the beginning that Rift Cosmetics will emd up in the store.

I'm personally fine with it - I understand wanting 'exclusivity' but I think giving people the option if they hadn't played the game years ago the ability to get cosmetics is fine.
Besides - we don't know if Deep Rift cosmetics will become store bought yet (unless they've confirmed that elsewhere?) so the recolour may still be the 'exclusivity' people get.

Aye it was more of a cosmetic rotation thing similar to the shrine of secrets but I get where you guys are coming from.

I understand what you meant in your initial post...I partially agree with it, it takes a lot of playtime to earn the outfits and perhaps, they shouldn't be something you can just go pay to buy. I do kind of agree with that tbh. At the same time, I wish the pink Jane head from some time ago would make it's way to the store..*sigh*

Honestly not a fan of "exclusives" and the FOMO it creates. If you finished the rift you got the cosmetics for free that should be enough.

A lot of Jane outfits are so pretty she deffo deserves more love!! And yeah I just think a cycle of cosmetics would be nice and like they'd always come back just have limited time to buy each time around.
1 -
Aye that's fair it's less of a non inclusive more of a tome cosmetic cycle suggestion

I do wonder if deep rift cosmetics are never coming to the store. I've got all of them so far and will continue to do so, but again I wouldn't mind if they went to the store eventually.

We might find out someday, NGL love some deep rift stuff it's very pretty.

Jane..for sure!! ❤️ I think the limited time rotation for tome ones is a great idea! I know a lot of people were upset when they started doing limited time outfits, but I really didn't think it was a huge deal. There was an outfit or two I wished I had got around Christmas time, but no biggie..I know it'll be back next holiday season.
