Are there any MoM users?
I'm quite curious to know if there are any players still using Mettle of Man after all the changes. And do you get any value out of the perk? If so, are there certain perks you prefer to combine it with?

I find it handy to have on me in case i need it.

I love this perk and have used it a lot and tend to get some good value out of it if I play aggressively with it. However, with the medkit changes I use it less as it's a bit harder to get those heals from the protection hits.

As someone who has used this perk for a very long time
I can tell it depends a lot on the killer that's against you
If you are against Myers, it will be very difficult to activate this perk
Generally any killer M2 will have more difficulty activating this perk
And with the current changes it has become more difficult
I use empathy with this perk

You should try Mettle of Mither, I've heard it's a really solid combo build

Why do you have to be up someone's butt in order to get a protection stack? If both players are in chase with the killer it should proc. There are times I'm within 4 meters and I still don't get a protection stack.

I'm an occasional user. I consider Mettle of Man a "for fun" perk. Not powerful but fun to get value from.
First time I used it I was going through characters using point offerings and MoM was the only Obsession perk my Dwight had, so I used it and actually got value from it in the match. From there I was hooked.

If you're within 4 metres and you're taking a hit for an injured person you would get the protection score event and a stack for MoM. I use this perk pretty much daily and can confirm it works as planned. It's the distance that a lot of people struggle with as yes you do have to be close enough so that you're taking a hit, not blocking the killer a bit further away in order to easily get a hit.

It would be nice to increase the protection hit range from 10m to 12m
Or make this perk flash when in range of protection hit

Sounds like buff time?!

Mettle of Meg all the way :)
My build has evolved over time, how ever its current itteration is; MoM, WGLF, DH and FTP. Its such a fun build to use

maybe make perk work on unhooks though they need to be careful to not buff this perk too much that it is in every game.

If only I had my way...

that would make the perk insanely strong

The perk used to work like that on PTB. It was 3 protection hit or 3 unhooks. perhaps the perk could be 4 protection hit or 4 unhooks.

I've been trying all day to get it to work. SOmetimes it's buggy and doesn't register a hit as a protection hit and even when I run it with Bond my teammates keep running away from me. Maybe you should run it with the Empathic Connection, maybe then they'll come to you.

which other perks do you use it with? Do you need to have botany and self-care to get all those heals or?
0 -
You can use the key with add-ons to see the survivors' aura, either to protect them or ask them to heal you

Naymeti is the only person I see running it. The healing nerf kinda killed what use it had.

It's very hard to get all 3 protection hits in a normal match, unless you are trying to throw the game. Like I run bond with it and at most I got to 2 protection hits and sometimes it didn't detect a protection hit as one. Plus if teammates keep running away from you you have to follow them around doing nothing.
Perhaps it could work with a perk that lets your teammates see your aura than the opposite (like I said earlier Empathic Connection might be decent with? I don't have it so I cannot try it on atm).
It's one of those rare ocassions where you want your teammates to bring the killer to you.
It seems more like a perk that might work once in a while incidentally but that you don't get value out of it consistently (unless you go for a sabo build, but admittedly I haven't yet).

The medkit nerfs didn’t do it any favors, but it’s still situationally useful.
That said, I don’t really use it because it doesn’t suit my playstyle. That’s not to say I won’t take hits for teammates, I will, but I won’t throw the game for it. It’s also a more useful perk in SWF and I primarily play solo queue or with only one other person.

Yeah, last night, I've used your Mo- Oh, wait.
Jokes aside, yeah I actually love using it in some of my builds. I usually do get value, and I sometimes build around it. However if I'm being tunnelled or the killer just doesn't do much, it is dead weight. But, I enjoy it.

This seems like such a waste of time for you and your teammates though, unless you're playing with SWF. But as far as I've read from everyone's responses I don't think it's worth giving it a shot in SoloQ sadly.

It's good but only if you base your entire build around that type of play style like for example mettle of man, reactive healing, breakout, saboteur and a medkit in a swf is lethal because they're resetting health while tanking hits for each other and also getting MoM stacks while occasionally getting the wiggle out for your team

Pre 6.1 I used a MoM, WGLF, Empathy, and CoH build. It was quite fun but neither WGLF or CoH work for those purposes anymore and I haven't come up with a suitable substitute for it yet.

Well that's a bit sad. Now I wasted 2000 Iri Shards on a useless perk 😅

Which perk was it? WGLF, CoH or MoM?

MoM

Yeah. Moms are the best <3
