Why can I get blinded by someone that's not even on my screen?

How is that fair? Side blinds should not be a thing, oh 1 single pixel was open on the far right side of my eye while all I can see is a wall, and the survivor isn't even on my screen but I guess that counts as a blind, fun.

You miss 100% of the shots you don't take, the survivor just happened to get lucky with the beam angle. Stop trying to take away the fun from survivors, that's why this game continues to get worse...
