Where's Pyramid head's update
Wasn't he supposed to get a buff that had survivors become tormented when hit with punishment of the damned. Because I hit a survivor with it and no one was ever tormented.

They rolled it back. Don't be surprised please, it tends to happen often to killer-related changes.

This kind of attitude irritates me. Isn't the whole point of a test build to test things? They had an idea. They tested it. It turned out to be problematic so didn't push it live. This is a success story in my book. Would you rather they never put things on test unless it is 100% for certain to make it live? If so then what would be the point of PTB? I want to encourage them to experiment and try different things.

Because most of the time they actually don't listen. For example:
Everyone said knight was boring because the only viable playstyle was to just ######### out a guard at a loop and now the survivor leaves the loop, if they get to another one, they don't get hit, if they don't they get hit. It still released in that state.
Everyone said skull merchant was boring and a problem, and she still launched with the same problems.
Everyone said EMPs were too strong on singularity, and here we are, they are still too strong.
Everyone said made for this is a problem, and look, still here and a problem.
The worst part is that they basically release something. Test in on PTB, then get feedback, and decide to make "changes" but then don't test the changes before they release. They should be making more regular updates to PTB. The fact that it takes months to literally change numbers is a complete joke. The PTB should be updated multiple times with changes and feedback, and only release until the situation is actually resolved.
Right now, they just release ######### even if it isn't ready, attempt to fix it in a hotfix or 2 in the next 2 weeks. Then, if we are lucky, they actually fixed the problem, but if not, we get to wait months before they do anything else.

Have you red what exactly was problematic in the first place? They feared it would make him too strong at camping because unhooker would get condemned almost always during unhook process. They already have a mechanic that prevents PH from putting a trail of torment near hooks and generators, all they had to do is make sure he can't condemn from his power near the hook and introduce this change but they didn't so it got all wrapped up and thrown to the bin.
They do the similar stuff when it comes to changes that can make killer(s) a little bit more powerful.

They could have made it so that either hitting a specific survivor twice with his M2 or hitting a survivor with M2 after X amount of M2 hits inflicts Condemned on them.
That would reward Players who could get M2 hits off consistently without being too oppressive.

Still didn't solve the issue of facecamping while holding M2 to tunnel of the hook

As much as I'd like that, it doesn't really fix the facecamp and hold M2 to get free torment problems, just adds a bit of a roadblock so that it only works vs solos. I'd rather the change be that hitting a healthy survivor with Punishment of the Damned inflicts Torment, but with another way of removing it so he can't just keep doing it anyway.

they could bring many different counter measurements but they just said "**** this they didn't have it before anyway". i wonder if they make some changes and release this buff in the future.
besides, ph's camping abilities (camping cages more specifically, which was the main concern regarding the buff) still exist and still need addressing. but we probably will act like problems don't exist so they don't exist anymore?

If people forget about the problem it does kinda go away. For the time being of course. In reality people remember such treatment and then remind devs their past actions when they ask for any kind of feedback.

Since surv main cried and rage quitted in every game against Pyramid head in ptb, they chose not to make it go live.
It's funny because lots of survivors think it's easy to hit with the punishment. Pyramid head should had it since the beginning, since the punishment is strong but it's very hard to use.
To "compensate" I think that they should've put that cages works like normal hooks.

He is already a killer whos kit is good enough as it is, some what anti loop, prevents bt or any hook related perk and can decide when to use his passive mori + hits multiple persons, what he need is a rework on his add ons, they are awful I agree.

They chose to not send it to live because it was broken and made tunneling survivors bizarrely easy, and your "compensation" sounds more like a nerf.
Honestly, I think I heard more killer players saying that it shouldn't go live than survivors, but nonetheless you're the only person I've seen advocating for the change.

They wanted to give PHead a way to give condemn since once survivors know it's PHead they will avoid or crouch walk to not get the condemn status. It also made sense his M2 would do it since he shoots out the se metal and barbed wire......what they did was a knee jerk reaction (which they said they NEVER DO AGAIN) and totally scrapped the idea instead of adjusting it so It could work but not be oppressive....making it so Survivors at hooks and being unhooked were immune to condemn for the duration of the unhook

Instead I've argued with people on this forum who said "Change would be if they put cages like hooks".
Others instead who said that the change is right, and main survs who quitted in ptb as soon as they saw pyramid head. Opinions were literally split in half. Obviously devs listened to surv mains
My compensation is not a nerf, since it will work with hook perks for both survivors and killer.

There are situations that you still may accidentally step into it because your can be so focus trying to get to a spot/loop or seeing where is coming from so its not 100% that you will always avoid his condemn, similar to hag and trapper is no matter how careful you are you still may trip a trap or two cause the brilliant ones will put their stuff in areas you other wise not expect, shout out to the trapper who trap the door(not the window at shack) but am so always use to trappers doing windows I went for the door instead thinking window as trap and got caught LOL. @VikingDragonXii , for some reason qoute didnt work.

They also could have just made the cage TP range bigger which would have helped both this issue and him tunneling in general. It's just a number change.

Here we go again. Just ignore all the killer buffs and survivor nerfs that this patch came with. Focus on the one killer nerf.

To be honest, they did the right thing to revert it. They wanted to give him more ways to inflict torment, but I guess changing more than just giving him Torment on Punishment-Hits would have been to much to do before live release, so they reverted it.
And if I remember correctly their wording indicated that it might still be possible that Punishment inflicts Torment in the future - but with some more tweaks.
(Usually they only have a few days to make changes before Live Release)

It just proves Pyramid Head has a steep learning curve, which isn’t a bad thing. He’s still very strong against good survivors in the right hands.

It's not about learning curve. His trail of torment is too easy to dodge and can not be applied near gens and hooks. Plenty of time it gets completely avoided which renders entire cage mechanic very unreliable.

If you’re placing trails near gens and hooks, you’re playing him wrong. It’s supposed to be used during a chase at loops.

Addon tweaks = / = killer buffs. You can buff whatever perks you want but if players don't use those, then there's no buff introduced.

As someone who has pyramid head as my second main (demo first), skill issue.
he takes a while to get used to but landing shots with him isnt hard at all. Landing blind shots is satisfying and needed at times but you dont want to over do it

Addon tweaks = / = killer buffs. Addons are not mandatory and are not the part of killer's native power kit.

Uh, yeah, those ARE Killer buffs. When they nerfed Marvin's Blood on Nemi, you're saying that wasn't a huge Nemesis nerf? Okay, cool. So it wouldn't be a Blight nerf if we deleted all of his add-ons. This is an incredibly foolish line of thought.

And? Hes got some of the best antiloop and zoning in the game. He doesnt need his trail to be by gens or hooks. This isnt hag.

I brought it up because saying this pyramid head buff was needed and eruption being fair are basically linked to what type of takes you have. He needs buffs to his trash addon sets and his own perks. He is great basekit. Even something where he moves faster walking over his trails would be fine but the buff he was intended to get was way to much

A killer buff is a buff everyone does use. It's that simple.
Ghostface needed the buff because of his wonky power. He is also an M1 killer and many M1 killers are in a tight spot right now.

Those are too different topics. This topic is about PH and the reverted and unreleased buff.
I'm not the one to judge which addons of his require changes, but I can say that the unreleased buff would make his cage mechanic more reliable if devs could address the camping problem. They couldn't and the change was scrapped.

That his trails are supposed to be used in loops while chasing. They’re not supposed to be used like Hag traps.

You know mate, that's the only way to use his trail currently. Put in in chase and hope you can force survivor walk over it which most of the time you can not. That is the reason why such buff was even considered in the first place.
