Desktop cursor randomly appears on screen when playing as killer
Hello all!
The reason this isn't in bug reports as a bug would be, is because i'm running Proton/Linux, so I figured it wouldn't go there because that's not officially supported.
About 50% of my matches as killer (and a few as Survivor) have been met with my desktop cursor randomly appearing on my screen, causing almost all CPU activity with the game to halt, and me being unable to move or do anything. Yet, the audio from the game is still present and playing music and my surroundings. I've also had some instability with random crashes, but that's been eased when I played with a GE version of proton rather than normal Proton. Unfortunately, that's when these cursor issues started.
Anybody have an idea of how to fix this? Maybe playing on X11 or using an older/newer/other custom Proton? So far 7.0.6, 8.0-2, and Experimental have had stability issues with crashing. (It should be noted i'm playing the Steam version of the game, although the EGS version also works.)
For additional useful information, i've tweaked GameSettings.ini to lower game settings, as my system could be classed as lower-end. As well, i've added the line "dxgi.customVendorId = 1002" in a file named dvxk.conf, and added that to the Dead By Daylight Folder. I've read on Reddit that that helps launching with Intel GPUs, and indeed my iGPU did not want to launch the game beforehand.
System info, as parsed by protondb:

KERNEL: 6.2.15-200.fc37.x86_64

GPU DRIVER: 4.6 Mesa 23.0.3RAM: 16 GB

Update: Switching to GE-Proton-7-49 seemed to fix it, as well as my stability issues. (GE-Proton7-50 might also work, or other versions, haven't tested it.)
