Quality of Life Suggestions
I would like to get people to rally with me to get some basic changes implemented with Dead by Daylight. I was happy to see everything I suggested before (about the HUD) was implemented. I have about 4000 hours in the game and I have over 17 devotion. I think that these changes would make my games a lot better! I'm sure they'd make other's games better too!
- Add a HUD for the four categories of blood points. This will help us to know what we still need to achieve in order to get the most blood points out of the game. It could be kept at the top right corner of the game.
- Let us see our MMR for each killer and for survivor. I have been paired with people that are either way too high or way too low MMR for me. I'm guessing the "MMR" system is not a true MMR system at all. Or, at the very least, give a detailed description of how the MMR works at BHVR.
- I know this one probably will never be implemented but it doesn't hurt to ask. Allow us to trade in lower tier items and addons for higher tier. For instance 10 or even 100 brown med kits for 1 yellow med kit.
- Show Daily Ritual updates in the game (similar to Tome Challenge updates).
- Show Achievement updates in the game (similar to Tome Challenge updates).
- Give daily rewards everyday for players that login for that day. If they don't login, they don't get the reward. It would encourage players to login and play. The rewards can be small or large.
- Give more codes for more bloodpoints or shards.
- Provide a stats page either on the web or in the app so we know how many kills, escapes, stuns, etc. we have.
If you are reading this, please let me know what you think :)

Does BHVR read these?

They really should add achievement tab ingame, yes
3 -
Absolutely not unless it's like an easy to answer question about game mechanics or some such.
I fully agree about the MMR thing. It's a system we're forced to participate in, so we should have an idea of our place in it. At least post game

I agree!

I agree. It doesn't seem like a TRUE MMR.

I agree🤘

I agree with these suggestions

Oh that's a great idea too!!!!!!!! Some kind of DBD stats for both Killer and Survivor. The site that use to have those stats has now closed down :(

I added that stats thing to my list.

agree with all of these!

Or just go back to simpler times, and ditch the SBMM altogether. It has no place in a game like this to be brutally honest.
2 -
Hopefully at least some of them will be implemented.

You aren't wrong! I agree.

I personally don't care anymore about Bloodpoints or MMR but i made the same suggestion for point 3 and 8
But we know the truth and we will never seen those changes come to live

I'm an optimistic person... I really hope at least some of these are implemented.

- BP score events show a progress indicator already. If you want a HUD element to check at any point, I'd suggest putting it in the pause menu, or perhaps an opt-in HUD element setting.
- No. MMR should not be disclosed publicly, either the score or calculation method.
- shrugs
- Yep
- This probably as an opt-in setting, not default. Even then given platform specific art styles a generic game accolade system should be put in place first. That might be included with the player-card system they are thinking of?
- Sure, though this kinda ties into the ritual system, probably integrate it into that with combined ritual challenges that can be accomplished by any role.
- shrugs
- No doubt this is going to be implemented with the player-card system. They don't even need to make it retroactive, as it gives veterans something new to grind.

All of these are really simple, good ideas that are genuine quality of life.

Many other games show stats continuously on how you are doing. I don't see why they can't make the scoring events with the 4 categories permanently stay on the screen.

I agree!

Do you not think you should know your own MMR?
0 -
I'm not against a competitive ladder game-type (not that I think it's appropriate given DBD's tile generation meant to be different each trial to give a sense of uncertainty and surprise)
But the internal scoring metrics used by the DBD team should not be publicized. Its function is to match players in appropriate skill zones.
By making it visible you incentivize players to try to manipulate their score or attribute value to it, which is not what it is meant to do, especially given that it is applied unconditionally to all players. You cannot opt out of MMR.

DBD is a game where minimizing screen UI clutter should be a priority. You can opt-in to certain features if you would like, but the HUD should be reduced as much as possible to immerse players.
2 -
Okay, I see your point.

Even if they only make it an option in the menu, I'd still like the option to make it stay permanently on my screen. I think that is what you are saying?
1 -
Yes

Does anyone know if they are updating the EMPs on the new killer? Because they need to be nerfed.

Mandy addresses upcoming changes in this thread. There's also a tweet about it but that requires going to Twitter. Gross.

I love these suggestions. I'd add sharing offerings between our characters (survivors and killers separate obv...survivors with a Mori would be interesting 😂), so i can for example use flans/streamers with the character I feel like playing at the moment :)

That sounds like a great idea!

I'm really hoping that they implement at least some of this stuff. If I could only choose three of them to be implemented it would be 1, 4, and 5.

I would love to see the Matchmaking system placement, as half to most of the time; I am in the dark on how good I in the placement and wonder what I need to improve on, which killers I need to do better with, and maybe let certain killers that i play the least so that they lose some mmr for easy match for balance.
Achievement process bar is amazing. Make it happen.
Would love a new trade mechanic; allows me to exchange useless items/addons for slighty expensive and more desirable ones; or just recycle for BP.

Except for points 2 and 3, I think the rest should have been implemented yesterday (although 6. reminds me a little of what mobile games do).

I love the stats idea! I’d love to see things like average survival rate against this specific killer or on this specific map. Same with killer but reversed - average kill rate per killer and per map and a combination of the two. Heck, even though all survivors are essentially the same I’d love survival stats on that too just to see how I do with my faves.

As far as trading items in goes… I like it but I think a cool idea would be to be able to pass on items. Like, I understand and am ok with having to purchase a useless item to get to a better one that I want, but if all I have left on my current bloodweb level is a bunch of clear reagents and salt pouches I’d rather just forego them and not use my BP.

How about harsher bans for players/killers that work with each other against other survivors?
0 -
I'm not sure how I feel about that. Some killers want to farm.
0 -
- sounds good.
- They won't let us see the MMR due to how broken the system is, they try to give us low queue time, not match quality, it shows.
- some kind of "shard" system that would allow me to get rid of the duds, like map offerings or other things would be nice for sure.
- sure.
- sure.
- hell yeah.
- aw wow, please god no. People are already as toxic as it gets, we don't need that.

Remember when a code would be given out almost every month for 500K-1 milj. BP? Now, if we're lucky we get one for 30K, lol.

That would be awesome... I hope they return to that
