I have fun playing Freddy? How?!?!!
I honestly can’t explain how or why, but I do! Why do you think this is? His playstyle isn’t really fun in a practical sense, I’m not jumpscaring survivors or zooming across the map with a chainsaw.
obviously he’s not exactly the most meta killer either.
So what exactly do you guys think makes Freddy fun? Is it nostalgia? The satisfying sound his claws make?
I suppose this is just me thinking out loud, but I’m interested in hearing what you guys have to say.

Freddy is pretty fun tbh, ive had some incredible matches in ranks 6-4

Freddy has a great ability and design that, while needing of tweaks and such...isnt completely useless. Some Perks really shine with him and essentially you be a right old bastard with him xD! I'm leveling my Freddy up atm and def have a few build ideas to mess with Survivors.
While Billy can essentially perform better than Freddy, I just don't like his ability or how he plays at all & don't see myself using him much...even,if higher skilled/seasoned Survivors can bully or evade Freddy in a match...I can still enjoy what I'm doing...missing Chainsaw hits while Survivors do loops and stay close to objects...is so damn,boring and annoying imo.

Freddy is fun as long as you don't play against good survivors. I like him but his weaknesses are pretty annoying.

You would be surprised to see how efficient Monitor&Abuse is on Freddy !
16 meters terror radius (if i'm not mistaken) coupled with the facts that he is small and that his power let him juggle like the mirror Myers's build, all you need is a map with just enought walls to hide behind.
AKA any map that isn't a Coldwind Farm one.

Freddy is a viable high-ranks Killer if you put the time into him, mainly learning to deal with his weaknesses and potentially overcoming them.
What makes him fun in my eyes is his ability to gain control over and immensely slow the Survivor's progress when he pulls them into his Dream World (I often have at least 2 Survivors asleep at any given time) and his intelligence on their whereabouts thanks to his Power. That knowledge is usually quite underrated as it allows you to plan your next moves much more effectively and is already what enabled me to become a skilled Doctor back in the days using the Restraint Add-ons.

I feel like you have to play him sort of like legion, I noticed most of my Freddy games are very long if I’m not tunneling or anything. I noticed I usually get perfect 32k games with him, I usually use either both decrease skill check chances addons, or a range addon in there somewhere. I usually get at least 3 kills, but I really have to try tbh, I will constantly be bouncing from survivor to survivor until everyone is taken down eventually.
