Map repeat prevention not working or turned off?

Hello ppl of the fog,
I just came out of my second Thompson House game in a row (no map offerings), and had the same two days ago with Family Residency (also no map offerings). Wasn't this supposed to be prevented automatically? Was the map repeat prevention disabled or is it just bugged / not working?
Did someone else experiencethis as well?

Map prevention feature gets turned off temporarily after a new map is released.

Is that so, Okay ... I could understand that they want the new map to be played more often, but why turn the whole thing off then?

BHVR definitely wants us to suffer if they want us to play on that new map often lol.
