The second iteration of 2v8 is now LIVE - find out more information here: https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/kb/articles/480-2v8-developer-update

EMPs should be limited like vaccines.

Right now Singularity's power is extremely easy to counter. Survivors have a constant stream of EMPs to use and even if one gets slipstreamed he gets rid of it pretty much on spot, often during chase. That makes Singularity a basic m1 killer with ability to look around from blocked pods. Now really fun.

Actually, they can. Wesker sprays are also limited, but have you ever run out of them?

You can always place new cameras mid chase, and there is a very limited chance people will use 2 or 3 EMPs in ONE chase. If you just want to play the janitor only lookin through his security cameras then yes, his power is easy to outplay. I thought after Knight and SM people would NOT want another killer that can just protect gens with his power but i guess thats how people want to play.

So I get into a chase, place a pod (in which moment Singularity stops to look through it), mark a survivor, he uses emp to get rid of slipstream still holding W, I place a pod again (stopping Singularity once more), mark a surv (which also takes a moment) and the I renew a chase trying to shot him with a pod. Waste of time.

I have three choices - being a janny and checking gens through cameras, get into prolonged chase in which i have to apply slipstream at least twice or just count on survs being careless. Emps shouldn't be so available, it overly gimps Singularity.

You can't have such a strong power without a strong counterplay. I just hope they dont butcher his power after the EMP nerf because he will (potentially) be very opressive after the change. With all the EMP complaints, i can imagine they dont want to re-buff EMPs so the only other option is to nerf his power.

Yes I did. There's a special tactics for this and for 3genning wesker. But granted - said wesker needs Iri vial. Also there are more chests for wesker + 2 charges/chest.

After hotfix there will be just 4 chests for EMP's and they will take even longer to charge up (plus new hindered when using it). I don't think the killer will need anything more after that.

Well. He's very hard to master killer. I already wrote in PTB threads, that ideally they would remove 3 EMP boxes so, that people will actually learn to play the killer - and later on when they actually know to play him differently from skull merchant - slowly return EMP boxes. I am afraid it's only matter of time when devs will have to rebuff EMP's (still several months away though)

Sounds good in theory, but hard to tell for me right now how it will work out.

I fear that people will go full ham on the janitor playstyle (security cam analyst with free hits after teleporting to someone on a gen with no real counterplay), and get too much value out of playing him that way. And when the re-buff for EMPs or the nerf to his power hits they'll be back to screaming about it since they never HAD to learn different ways to play. If you give people an effortles way to play that works, the big majority of players will do that.

Going full janny at least slows down the game and very rarely you can get a teleport. Singularity is crap in chase.

They could but the Singularity reapplies them so fast. Limiting it would make survivors run out fast.

What we have to do is see what bHVR releases as a fix soon, and then make feedback from there. I doubt they will consider limited uses.

It's not an easy match when you're playing SoloQ. I think we need to remember there is a whole group of people not playing killer or SWF, and the game doesn't have to be any harder for them.

He is a strong killer, the EMPs are not making the game as hard as you think. I've used one mid chase and still went down. It's not that hard to outplay it.

i find it funny to think that you need item to beat the killer power. I do not think that killer should have items to counter killer power for free. Legion is only killer where I think an item to counter his power might be smart design choice. Wesker infection has an item to counter the power because of 8% hindered however if he did not have hindered, he would not need an item either. I do not know why singularity has it or nemesis has the mechanic.

The other thing that isn't fun is having the killer teleport to your exact location without an easy way to counter it in a game where killers are faster than survivors. The fact we have to constantly manage the killer's mechanic to avoid having the killer constantly right beside us is already annoying. All the killer has to do is place the traps near generators then survivors are stuck in a constant EMP loop on top of having to deal with everything else.

BHVR don't know how to properly balance. The upcoming changes won't be enough, so they'll nerf printers ones again and M1 Singularity without the ability will become the most boring and most unavoidable 3g-holder.

Do you remember SM and Knight? The Singularity will be worse.

Not comparable at all if you actually spent more than 2 seconds thinking about it. Applying infection as singu is 10 times easier than it is to apply it with wesker.

    I agree with OP.

Saying that the power of singularity is too strong is quite the overstatement.

Limiting the amount of EMPs that is possible to use in a match would make them valuable and would be a risk.

we live in an economy where survivors brings BNP to almost every match and claim they are not "gen rushing" and that "killers should get good".

how about this, if y'all are good enough to escape before you run out of EMP, sure... but if you're not...

    see my point?

Edit: Just wanted to add for those who are afraid of a 3 gen meta, the gen regression perks are all nerfed into oblivion at the moment, there is no way this can even be a concern anymore.
