New Survivor Perk Idea: Scavenger Hunt

Scavenger Hunt

Your determination for success drives you to push beyond your own limitations.

Each time you cleanse a totem, you gain a token up to a maximum of 5 tokens. Each token grants you a 6/8/10 % larger great skill check zone, but also decreases the total skill check zone by an identical amount.

Dull totems grant 1 token each.

Hex totems grant 3 tokens each.

Gain 50/75/100 % Bonus Bloodpoints for totem cleansing.

(I am not quite sure if this should stack with "This Is Not Happening" or not.)


I believe this would help slow games down by giving survivors an alternate objective and rewarding survivors for completing said objective. This also brings perks like "Unnerving Presence" out of the closet since Scavenger Hunt can be countered by it.

What do you guys think? Perhaps this could be another general perk for every survivor.

    I think this is a really good perk honestly. Maybe add 100% more bloodpoints for cleansing totems? (so dull totems will give you 1.2k and hexes will give you 2k similar to prove thyself's coop boost)

    It rewards survivors for cleansing totems and increases competition between them, rewards killers with extra time.

    I like it, it'll help slow the game down "JuSt A LiL bIt." Its good though, gives survivors more incentive to cleanse totems, it would also be paired nicely with Small Game

    The only thing this will do is ensure no totem perks ever succeed and gens get done faster. Then a 100% BP reward on top of it? How about keep dreaming? Cleansing totems is not a challenging secondary objective. It's akin to stating searching chests is a secondary objective. Where is the failure portion at? Objectives require that stipulation.

    It’s just a perk idea. Not a mechanical change. This wouldn’t harm the game I don’t think. Just incentive to death for totems. It has counter play too so I feel like it’d be balanced.

    I don't think so.

    Bloodpoint reward is going to slow the game a lot if you think about it, at least if it goes in the way I think. Survivors will try to find totems and waste too much time doing nothing. Add the fact that more than 1 survivors use this perk, they might not even go for the gens and the saves.

    You are right about the hex perks though, this perk can make them a target so there is that.
