Skull Merchant Should Be Disabled For The Anniversary
The Anniversary event should be a celebration and be fun for everyone. With that thought in mind, the antithesis of fun shouldn't be around to ruin every game she's in. It would be so heartbreaking for a 5 cake game to devolve into a 30 minute long 3 gen game.

At least everyone will get max points? Maybe instead they should uncap the bloodpoint categories against her, then people would have a lot more fun lol.

So to force the developers to look at and fix the game, I suggest all killers only play the Skull Merchant. Every killer only play Skull Merchant til things start getting sorted out which will not take long. Thing about the string of events, first if all killers commit to this a lot of killers will just quit playing til after the fixes. Queue Times for Survivors get longer. Then Skull Merchants can cause games to last longer just off her base kit. Less killers in queue so Queue Times for Survivors get longer. Eventually Survivor Streamers are going to get pissed when they sit in queue forever, and then it's all Skull Merchant 45 min to hour games because of the 3 gen. I promise BHVR will start fixing stuff most quickly once streamers start complaining.
No need to come on the forums and argue back and forth and debate. Just think of the most logical way to solve the problem. This is the most direct and fastest fix for the survivors being buffed continously and being as strong as they are. I realize they are trying to balance the game around solos and swfs. You can't. So apologize to the solo players, say sorry for your luck, go play killer, because solo survivor is going to be horrible going forward. it is what it is.
This to me is the fastest way to get some action from BHVR. The only way Killers can be viewed as power role is that you have to have killers to play the game. If they all play Skull Merchant and make it absolutely miserable on both sides, actions will be taken to correct the issue. Killers need to have the mindset Beatings will continue until morale improves.

The game would die before they fix her lol. It would be hard to since she's literally designed to be unfun and uninteractive. 3 gens and dropping drones on loops and gaining bloodlust. No interaction.

Eh, as much I as despise going against SM, it doesn't really feel fair to decide my fun matters more than whoever enjoys playing her. It's not like I encounter her much anyways, so I'll just grind my teeth when I do (and probably get a bunch of BPs for it)

I cant handle more about people crying about Skull merchant, i play as her and i dont play with the 3genning strategy. Disable SM? Ok, so disable bubba, for camping, disable nurse and blight, because slug, disable all killers because tunnel. If u dont want play against her, just give up. They said already she will be change soon and the 3 gen strategy will be nerfed. I dont want play against prove thyselfs, resiliences, overzelous, dejavus, toolboxes for gen rushers because i will want points, so, disable these things too.

Than Made for this should also be disabled during the Event
Why Skull Merchant Players shouldnt have fun during the Event but Players who use a broken Perk that Kills all M1 Killer whitout any effort 🤷🏻♀️

Let's disable SWF matchmaking, disable survivor perks like Adrenaline and Made for This. Since if we want to make this "fun for everyone" we should make sure both sides don't have to face things that are unfun.

Skull Merchant is probably my least favorite killer in the game and for more reasons than her ability to hold games hostage. Do I think she needs a rework? Yes. Do I think she should be disabled? No. I’m always against removing characters from the game just because others don’t like them. Other players enjoy this killer and should be able to do so during the anniversary event. To be fair, I’ve had more 3-gen hostage games against the Knight but no one really complains about him as much. I’d much rather take a 3-genning SM over any killer that tunnels players out of the game right away or face camps.

After havin done some extented research in endgame chat I can positvely confirm that most survivors hate every killer except for never uncloaking wraith. So I suggest we just ban all killers and ban wraiths ability to uncloak for the event and we should be ready to go with the fun time.

No one complains about Knight because SM does his job much better. I'd rather get tunneled out of the game than deal with SM since I can actually have some sort of interaction with the killer instead of getting pushed off the 3 gen, maybe get hit, find someone to heal me, then repeat the process for an hour until one side gets bored.

Nah, if Survivors can have Made For This for anniversary, Skull Merchant is more than fine to stick around.

Both are widely hated by the respective opposite side. Funny enough, both also play around with 3% haste a lot, except in MFT's case there's no reliable counterplay to it, Skull Merchant you usually just leave the loop and she's back to 115.

Nah I'm not gonna keep waiting for the timer, even tho it'll be much shorter than a SM game. I'll just do what I usually see people do and let myself die on hook right away.

You leave the loop, and then what? She goes back to her 3 gen and you've accomplished nothing. If you get hit during that small chase then you're useless until you find someone to heal you. I'd happily remove MFT to get rid of SM, the perk is overrated anyways. Old DH was better.

It is not fun when survivors are running permamently 3% faster and doing all gens in 4 minutes, maybe disable some of their perks instead ?

You kinda are tho in a way. Are you asking the devs to killswitch a killer who has nothing wrong with her and functioning as she was designed just bc you don't like playing against her. In turn, you are being very selfish toward those who do enjoy playing her and have fun playing her. Your request and this whole thread are just a middle finger to those players and for what so you don't have to go up against an avg of 2 SM a day during the anniversary? Either way, I think you being very silly making this thread and it does nothing constructive at all. Also think he should be removed by a mod but hey what I know. Anywho, I hope you have a great day.

You didn't read my post did you. I'm not trying to get Skull Merchant fixed. Survivor needs to be fixed. I pretty much am a survivor main and think they are entirely 2 strong. I escape way too much to use, Empathy, Bond, Small Game, and Urban Evasion.
Survivor is the easiest role ever created in gaming. Hold W, press spacebar for the are you paying attention checks, and M1 to work on generator. Spin camera around to watch for a "not the power role" killer. it doesn't get any easier. I feel people forget its a horror game. 3K should be 95% of all games. Someone escaping every match should be the norm, any one particular person escaping should be rare. Go watch a horror movie. The survivors are entirely too strong.
The problem is BHVR is trying to balance the game around SWF and Solo queue survivors. You can't unless map wide in game voice chat becomes base kit. That way you can just balance for SWFs and everything gets better. By the way, I just fixed every major issue with this game with one solution. Add comms, rebalance killers for every match being SWF, and tada, all is well. If a survivor decides to mute his team that's on them sorry for your luck. If you can't or won't add comms, balance the game for SWFs anyway, tell the solo survivors that the solo role is killer and sorry for your luck again. Go outside, touch grass, make friends, come back and play survivor with your new buddies. You can't balance killers for both groups. Mind you I play mostly survivor, I get out way too much to be not the power role. The only killers that give me problems are new ones for like the first 3 matches. Then I'm good, and I don't run second chance perks. Hell and I don't think Im a good survivor, I just think survivors are too strong. So IMO to get BHVR to fix their game, all Skull Merchant all the time for killers. Make the survivors hurt. Adopt the mindset Beatings will continue until morale improves.

Ah yes, the "fun", objective and reliable standpoint for disabling a killer.
How about removing capability of move for survivors? chasing is not fun for killers, they want free hook.
So everyone can have fun except survivor enjoyer.

Yeah, non-SWF players can easily make killer's life miserable too, especially with 3% movement speed.

Gen merchant was designed as 3 gen killer and does exactly that. What about the fun of the players that bought her?! You can´t blame people for playing a killer in the exact way its meant to be.
On a more serious note, if i´d encounter this situation i´d just get max points and then i´d let myself kill. No point in sticking around for so long, when i can just move to the next match.

Yea because that would be a proper reaction to not getting to hold the game hostage for an hour with a killer that is terrible outside of a 3 gen situation anyway, people who play that killer know what they're doing just like the survivors who are stacking made for this with hope and other boosting perks in the endgame to be uncatchable, both will eventually get nerfed because of it, made for this probably wont get to activate in the endgame so you cant be faster than the killer by stacking haste

I'm not blaming my problems on anything. Just that if we were to disable a killer due to the perceived amount of fun it is to face them. Then we should do the same and disable things that are perceived to be unfun to face as killer. Only fair.
