Okay, I give up. Tell me: How are you supposed to play Singularity?
I give up. I actually give up.
I can't. I just can't. I keep trying and trying, and nothing works. How are you meant to play him? I keep hearing people go, "Oh he's just hard" or "Omg, he's A-tier! One of the best made killers!"
Are we playing the same game? What? What am I missing? What big brain play am I not understanding? What big strats am I not privy to?
Nothing works. Literally nothing. He's not that particularly great at 3-genning, which fine, we don't need another Skull Merchant. But what is he meant to do? His infection cleanses on hooks, so is he meant to be a slugger? Hardly, he's still an M1 killer.
Oh, maybe chase killer? Hardly. Overclock is not that threatening. Disregarding the fact EMPs exist and that people can/will use them on themselves and altruistically to rid the infection and disable your pods at once, he's not particularly fast at getting downs. Even if he ignores W, he still needs to break that pallet and hit you twice. That takes time.
Hit and run? Seriously? The infection is so volatile that an entire team can be cured by 1 EMP. It's like the moment you go against literally anyone remotely competent, he just... doesn't work.
But I keep hearing claims that he's actually good! I hear people complaining that he's somehow S-tier. What am I missing? I give up trying to figure him out by myself. Someone spell it out to me. What is he so good at? Even if he's a completely unique killer as some claim, he still needs to be good at something here! What am I meant to do?!

At the start of the match, just try to find people and in the meantime place biopods on some decent places where Survivors could be in future.
When you find someone, in chases, try to use your biopods and place them where Survivor is atm and try to infect them. Once you did that, then you can always teleport to them with M2. You want to teleport when they get too far or when they are about to drop pallet unless you know they know you will do that, depends on the Survivor you are going againts.
Early game is your best period of game because EMPs didn't spawned yet. Try to not waste too much time in biopods. Use them only to quickly check a map position or idealy just to infect people. If they get EMP mid chase, try to infect them again. You can burn Survivors pallets fast once you can teleport on them.
He is like a set up chase killer. You should almost always want to infect them before just chasing them, unless you are close for a M1 hit.
He is also very map dependant. Some maps are really good (open space with not much line blockers) and very bad at others (Larry, indoors, etc.)

Larry is sort of the opposite of most Killers.
He's super strong at the beginning of the match, but can feel weak during the mid-game.
Focus on controlling the EMP economy. Make people waste EMP's and force extensive time sinks into grabbing new ones. Right now, if you can manage that and keep it up, you gain so much value.

The way I play Singularity and having fun is somewhat 70% chase / 30% setup. At the start of the trial I immediately try to find survivors and not wasting time I shoot Biopods at key locations on the run so I could quickly check if they are crossing and infect them. I do place Biopods at gen locations so I could use them as surveillance and check if they are working on them (EMP'd biopod = they are on it) - but I don't waste much Biopods as I keep them for chase, trying to slipstream as much as possible and teleport for a hit. Early game is a key period for Singularity, and probably the strongest part.
Addons and certain perk combos help a lot, here is what I use:
Denied Requisition Form + Diagnostic Tool in combo with Lethal Pursuer gives you an amazing early game advantage as you will already have them slipstreamed and ready for M2 + you see their auras. Lethal Pursuer will also give you few more seconds of their auras when they pick the EMP. EMP takes more time to spawn at the beginning of the trial. That's like "Search and Destroy" setup.
Foreign Plant Fibres + Kid's Ball Glove in combo with Enduring and Spirit Fury. This is a chase setup and pallet destroyer combo. You can literally disrespect pallets and melt through them. Overclock is a bit longer and the stun with Enduring perk and addon is drastically reduced. Bamboozle is also one more perk I find really nice on Singularity.
I hope you will have fun with your games, I am really enjoying our HUX-A7-13, it takes time - "Yes. It hurts. Growth often does." :D
