It's a nice event you got there BHVR, it would be a shame if 99% of killers decide to ruin it.
New event, same old story.
Killers tunneling, face-camping every single game like crazy and slugging people to death...
This happens EVERY SINGLE EVENT, it might be time to finally do smth about it BHVR don't you think?
There is no playing survivor if you want to enjoy the events...
This has been going for years what are you waiting for?

You know I can create exactly same post on survivors, right?
You don't really get to decide how other side is playing.
I am sure that if you were stomping the killer, you would be so nice to go cleanse all totems, so everyone has more time to gain BP. For sure.

I'm sure those are 2 perfectly comparable experience and it's probably why they were so many complaints from survivors but 0 from killers. And that the only response to this is "just play killer / stop playing survivor"

There is also the new trend of killers DCing if the survs are about to pop the last gen to deny them getting the rewards

Got it twice already, if they don't 4K before the 5th gen they DC so survs don't get it

I mean, you don’t even get the rewards until a gate opens. So that wouldn’t make sense.

It's happened to me once, but every other match Ive had (as Survivor) has been miserable for me at least. Killer isnt any different. People can play how they want of course, just ya know, not really the most enjoyable experience for me atm. I do hope things improve for me at least.

While the event goes on I'm playing my scream build Sadako that I use to gain BP, attempt 1 hook on each and the rest leave as long as they're kind to me and their teammates.
But once it's over it's back to Nurse or slugging since MFT is still here to ruin M1.

I’m sorry to hear that. My killer matches have been fine, some toxic teams but nothing crazy.
Survivor has been ok, I’ve been seeing a ton of No Way Out usage, and a decent amount of tunneling.
I hope it gets better for you and you can reap all the masks.

All those things cannot be prevented. People will play the game how they want to play it. This is 1 of 1 million posts its so old complain about something original.

This is the reality of events in DBD nowadays unfortunately...
If survivors rewards were easier they would kill themselfes on hook. Killers play even more competetive durings the event, because survivors have to play more competetive. Unfortunately for us all.

It's quite ridiculous how BHVR are so stubborn about keeping reward for surviving only, really.
Just remove hook suicide and make reward more consistent, it's not hard, it helps game health too.

So basically both sides tryhard, so they secure as much BP as they can.
It's some time since I have seen that many BNP as today.
I had one game out of like 15, which I would call enjoyable today. Rest was tryhard festival.

Technically, both sides have to tryhard more than usual until everyone gets their masks (which should take about 3 days max).
In theory the game should return to it's normal amount of challenge by that time.
Again, it's the fault of how the objective functions, so it being done should make it more enjoyable.... in theory .

Wdym?????? Killers literally are guaranteed to get a mask, either they win and the hatch opens when they get the 3rd kill or survivors win and they get the mask when survs open exit gates...
There is 0 try harding required there, the only scenario where you could fail to get a mask is either by not getting an invitation completely or forgetting to keep a charge

How else are they supposed to get masks? They have to reach endgame which actually requires work, this isn't from toxicity it's literally because of the conditions the devs put on for survivors to get masks and killers sweating like crazy.
Playing normally barely yields results for survs, so gen rushing is the only viable option

Sure and killers need to get hooks/kills for more BP.
Tunneling is good way how to achieve that.
Just because they brought 4x BNP I am supposed to let them leave or what?

Not to forget that the first community challenge is doing skill checks on gens and this ist the easiest when using a toolbox as the chances are higher.
When I play killer I play quite chill and once the last Gen gets done I also let the remaining survivors go.
So far everyone was happy.
I faced a Legion who wanted the 4k no matter what. When I asked why they do this during an event they said "I just care about winning and points". They had 50k BP multiplied by 535% while one survivor had less than 15k (got tunneled out) and only one of us had over 30k.

Both sides tryhard for personal benefits.
Survivors gen rush for invitations and probably for BP too.
Killers tunnel for more BP. That's why lot of people play them, because of that 100% BP bonus on killers (mainly evening).

First game i played legit 10min after the event started, teammate got tunneled out within the first 2 minutes and 5k BP. So much fun.

I switched to killer because surv was unbearable.
I'm now unlocking masks every game, making a score of at least 40K every game so bp are raining rn with all the cakes, while only 2 hooking everybody.
I've yet to encounter toxicity beside a single Tbagger and gen rushers. Most games end with GGs, TY and <3...

Survivors have to power exit gates (or was it open I forgor). Killers want to kill. Survivors will try to be even more efficient to unlock masks so they do gens even faster. Killers in response have to play more tryhardy.
I personally won't try to kill anyone, just 2 hook (unless a challenge says otherwise), but you must understand this. An action has a reaction.

Killers acting like they "only play like this because survs BM'd after being nice to them" are just making up reasons to be toxic. They would do in either way. When i play killer i dont sweat and just go for fun chases and in my at least 100+ games i've yet to see someone BM me or trashtalk in EGChat. Maybe its also because i dont lose my mind over someone pressing CTRL once before they leave idk.

I played for 4 hours last night and got one invite.
Also, I had a spirit and nurse DC at the last gen.
I guess I'm playing friendly killer for the event.

Yeah, all killers I've played against were hard tunneling and/or camping. Except for two, and one of them was farming bp's. Good thing I can play a killer and practice my newly-acquired dredge. I have to adjust to his controls :)

(At least) during this anniversary even time, If the game detects a killer is tunneling/camping right off the bat, they should be denied the bloodpoints from survivors' event offerings. I've been in such games, and for tunneling/camping, the killer gets rewarded with at least 30k base BP, which goes up to 200k bp total, while survivors die with 10k base BP or less. 3-4k BP if hardcore tunneled. It's sad.
