Ps4- Accept invitation failed

I picked Dbd up a couple days ago. As it sits the game itself runs smoothly when playing online whether in crossplay or not however when playing with one of my friends we cant accept invitations. I sit on a type 3 nat and he is a type 2, but the two friends i do connect to are type 2 as well. Me and my one friend have to piggy back off the other two to be able to play together because when we invite it will say the player joined the lobby then after a minute will say they left because the invite accept failed.

So far ive check forums all over to find an answer and everyone says either for everyone to close the game and start it back up which we've tried and it didnt work, and the other threads never get answered or just have more people all saying they have the problem and dont know why. i can connect to this friend of mine fine in other games like overwatch but Dbd is wanting to give us problems. Im hoping with all my heart that with setting this post with the title following the guidlines that i'll get an answer somewhere. I havent tried reinstalling the game but im wanting to see if there are other options before potentially wasting 3-4+ hours redownloading the game for it to potentially do nothing.
