I get nothing but unwinnable matches as killer
I recently started learning killer, and I get nothing but OP swf teams and super experience survivors.
Is just impossible to have any fun at all with such unbalanced games, and it just keeps on happening, one would assume that after loosing a bunch of matches you would start getting more balanced teams, but no, is just matche after match of unbalanced skill leves, is ridiculous.

I have always had this theory (based on my own experiences) that MMR does not change game to game but instead changes on a daily or even weekly basis. This would explain the streaks I here about both ways.
However that would only be possible if MMR actually worked so I'm going to say Bad luck or skill issue. Or both.

Do you have any gameplay that you can share?
Maybe some of the people here can help you out a bit?

I feel like you would think differently if you watched your game back or had someone else watch it and tell you what you're doing right and wrong.

Most killers tend to break the 4 player teams into 3 player as soon as possible. It is very logical. Common sense in strategy.
Vs 4 players :
- you hook 1, 2nd comes to rescue , 3rd and 4th on gens
- you chase 2nd to prevent unhook , 3rd gets off a gen and saves , 4th still on gen !!!
So either way one is always on the gen and you are losing overtime. If survivors are good.
Vs 3 players :
- you hook 1 , 2nd comes to the rescue, 3rd on gen.
- you chase 2nd to prevent unhook, 3rd gets off gen to save. Nobody on gens now !
No gen progress so game is going in your favor. But since survivors genrush you will often end up late to apply this play.
To achieve this quickly killers tunnel. It is a controversial tactic but no different to gen rush. Survivors ALWAYS genrush. It is the primary objective for them. And to break genrush you must get them busy. But to maintain 4 players being busy requires very complex play many killers lack. It gets even harder if survivors are skilled. So aim to eliminate a survivor early.
Few pro tips :
- keep track of who is where and what they might be doing or intend to do
- keep track of how many hooks each survivor has. Do not choose to chase those who have no hooks or have just 1. Those with higher number or hooks are a priority.
- always go for the weakest looper , abandon chases if a survivor knows what they are doing
- survivors will waste time to heal , or better time of other survivors to heal them, so that means they are not on gens
- proxi camp is IMPORTANT for reasons stated above. Survivor on the hook will need a rescuer. Chase this one to force another survivor off a gen to save instead. But down another as quickly as possible to repeat the process.
- If a survivor was unhooked while you are not chasing anyone , you lose here.
- at the start of the match identify 3 generators that are close to each other. You know why. Most survivors with deja vu will target these. Do not let them progress on them. Hook near these. If they succeed you will have final 2 gens spread out across the map and lose the game.
- do not chase entitled survivors. They will approach you and tbag to make you chase them. Do not fall for it. Most likely the other 3 survivors are on gens and this one is a good looper. Let them goof off as long as they are not on gens. But If within range hit them to force time waste on healing and chase those on gens.
- chack your area before picking up a survivor for any hiding friends with flashlights and identify close hooks. Then hook.
- near completed gens are a bait for survivors. Use it. They WILL return to them as soon as you turn the corner.
- do not fall for deception. If any survivor is gesturing some nonsense , down them . Unless they are the last one. Down in any other situation. Gen/unhook/gate might be happening behind your back.
- identify weaknesses and strengths of your killer. Focus to boost one or the other with perks. If you do both you will have a balanced killer but might need a skilled play to get the value of it.
- watch King wolfe 2 on youtube. He uses most of above really well. Observe how he plays and thinks.
- info perks are important. Do not waste time searching who to chase. Know where the next target is in advance.
Super pro tip :
When looping do no break a pallet if an area behind the survivor is not in your favor. Spin around so they will face the side that has nothing in it. The direction in which you will catch them before they reach another one. If you do not do this they will reach another pallet and you will lose bloodlust . Control their movement.

been happening to me too, but i used to play killer years ago. just had nothing but horrible matches, no matter the killer.
my advice? dont play killer. if you want to play something like killer, wait for TCM or the Killer Klowns game to come out. imo, this game isnt it for wanting to be a threatening presence that can ACTUALLY impact the game.

BHVR's matchmaker doesn't work, apparently the only way to get fair matches is to train as though DBD is your job so you can beat anyone.

What Killer are you using?

Thats how matchmaking is. it'll really cuck you when you start.

Don't beat yourself up over it. You're just starting as killer and it's the anniversary so the matchmaking is probably not working correctly due to the sudden influx of players. Killer is really difficult when you first start, especially when you get paired against people who are outside of your skill level. With time it will get easier, but I can understand how frustrating and unfun it feels. And it depends on the killers you are playing. Some of them are not beginner friendly at all and will make learning the basics of Killer a lot more difficult.
I know a few have already offered, but I'd be more than happy to give you advice if you want. Just let me know what you're having trouble with :)
